Over the few weeks, John adapted well in the forest. We were able to find food and cook it. We could have some offspring in the future, and live in this magical place for the rest of our lives. But John kept on telling me that we should at least try getting out of here, so that I could experience a normal human's life. Eventually, I agreed. We gathered Lucy and Roxy, and together we went out to search for the exit.
"The entrance to the forest should be somewhere near the place I first met you, Celia." - John explained. "This was a place close to my lake." said Lucy. "Yes. Let's head there. I remember walking by some sort of a cave, so search for anything that looks like a cave." John continued.
"Okay, so how about we split up?" I asked. "I would go explore this part with John, and Lucy would go and look out in there with Roxy."
"That's a good idea!" Lucy told me. "If we encounter any danger, I can protect Roxy with my tail, and you skunks can simply spray your attackers."
"Great. Let's go then!" I said with a smile.
Then we went to explore our assigned part of the forest.
"Look for anything made out of stone" - John told me. We walked and walked, until we had to cross some bushes. We casually walked through them, and then we got surprised by the sight of an entire wolf pack! I counted, like, nine of them! They were all around us, it seemed like they have set an ambush on us!
I smirked. They were about to learn why they shouldn't mess with skunks. I looked John in the eyes, and he winked at me. I smiled, and then we raised our tails.
"They're all around us. We need to somehow line them up behind us, so that we can get them all while using the least musk." I said. John nodded his head. "I have a plan - let's try to run behind these two. Then they will probably start to chase us, and they will probably set up in some line." he told me. "Seems smart. Come on!"
We ran, jumping between the two wolves facing us. As John planned, they gave chase. We ran with our tails raised. The wolves were faster than us, they were getting closer and closer.
"We have to deal with them fast, or else they'll get us!" John said.
"Okay, to cover them all as fast as possible we need to release a mist. Try to take those on your side, and so will I." I explained my idea.
John said "On my mark. Three, two, one, fire!"
Then I tensed the muscles inside my butt, making my sprayers slide out. As I was running on the left, I aimed my spray nozzles a little to the left. I then squeezed tight around my asshole, spraying a wide mist of my skunky stink. John did the same, but he aimed to the right. We managed to cover the first seven of the chasing wolves in our musk, making them growl and turn their heads away. They probably tried to get away from our nasty stink, having no clue that our sticky spray already clung to their pretty fur, and that this scent is going to stay with them for weeks. The two wolves on the sides of the chasing pack didn’t get our spray on themselves, but they ran away after smelling our sulfurous scent on their friends.
"We got them, now let's escape. There wasn’t any cave there, and it wouldn't be so far from Lucy's lake." I said. John nodded his head. Then we turned back, and slowly went back to the lake.
There, we met Lucy and Roxy, who also appeared to be finishing their exploring.
"Found anything?" Roxy asked.
"If a pack of wolves counts as anything, then yes..." John said, and then sighed in disappointment.
"There's one more place..." Roxy started.
"You really wanna go check *there*?" I asked, interrupting her.
"If it's our only way..." Roxy finished.
"Wait, girls, what do you mean by *there*?" John asked.
"It's the most dangerous place close to the lake that we know. There are lots of feral lions, wolves, and other predators. When we were younger, me and Lucy were totally afraid of this place, and of what hides there." I explained.
"But shouldn't we be able to deal with any trouble? We're skunks, Celia." John said with a smile.
"Yeah, but what if there's so much of them that we won't have enough ammo?" I was really worried.
"Don't be so scared Celia, your boy will surely grant you emotional support, and well, his butt stores another pack of ammo." Roxy told me, smiling broadly.
This convinced me. With two skunks in our group, we should be able to at least check for any caves there.
"Uhm... fine, let's go and check *there*."
