We went in between the dark trees. I was very stressed, my tail was raised high behind my back as I walked with my boyfriend and my friends through the woods. Despite their presence, I was so freaked out that I turned my butt to anything that made a creepy sound.
"Hey, Celia, don't you think you're overreacting a bit?" John asked me.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I'm just so nervous about this place, I feel like anything can just attack us at any moment - ROXY WATCH OUT!" I screamed out as a giant cougar jumped out from the bushes, directly where Roxy was standing. Fortunately, she reacted quickly to my scream and evaded the attack. I then turned my butt to the cougar, slid out my sprayers and blasted its face with a twin stream of my oily stink. The cougar wheezed and shook his head, shocked by the scent, and then ran off. One danger taken out.
"See? That's why I'm freaking out." I said.
We continued our walk into the deep dark of the forest. Sometimes we had our way blocked by some huge branches, but Lucy was able to get them out of the way by hitting them with her heavy, spiked aligator tail. Roxy occasionally climbed on one of the taller trees using her squirrel skills, to scout for the cave entrance.
After some time, we crossed a bush, only to find an entire camp of black panthers! They immediately started growling at us, and coming closer, probably really wanting us to be their next meal. Me and John instantly turned around and lifted our tails, Lucy took a fighting stance, and the defenseless Roxy jumped on a tree to avoid getting hurt. One of the panthers roared at us, and another one hissed. I sticked out my butt as a warning sign, and so did John. Suddenly, the panthers rushed at us. Me and John quickly extended our spray nozzles and released streams of stinking musk at the two panthers in the front. The smell and the irritated eyes stopped them, at least for some time. One of the pack rushed at Lucy, and she started to tackle with it. "I'm fine with this one!" she said, and tried to immoblize it. "Let's keep off the rest!" I told John. We then turned our butts on the remaining seven panthers. They were approaching us in groups of three, two, and two. "I take care of the pairs, you deal with the trio." said John, so I aimed my sprayers at the group of three, and squeezed tight, releasing a stinky shower of skunk spray right at them. Then I looked as John sprayed a twin stream at the duo of panthers, hitting one with each stream of stink. He did the same with the remaining duo. Then I ran to help Lucy. She had the panther pinned to the ground. I turned around, slid out my sprayers, and skunked it. "That's all of them!" John said.
"Wow, you guys rule." Said Roxy, getting off the tree. "But this place stinks like hell." she added.
"That's what happens when you mess with skunks." I said, with a broad smile.
"Hey, look, isn't it a path there?" Lucy said suddenly.
"Wow, this actually might be it!" responded John.
We instantly headed through the path, hoping that we will find the exit.
