Much to your surprise, it's Ariella, a girl you were friendly with from college. You think you shared a couple classes together and maybe talked a few times at parties. You're not sure why she would have drafted you though. She didn't have a secret crush on you or anything, right?
"Hey, glad we got you out of there," she says with a smile. "Good to see you again. It's really terrible what they're doing to you guys. Well, terrible doesn't even describe it. The whole thing is really scary. But anyway, a bunch of us have been standing up for equal rights, and we wanted to get as many of our friends as we could out of the system."
"Well, thanks," you say, thrilled with your unbelievably good luck. You pause for a second. "But why me?"
"Well, we've had a lot of luck getting people from campus," she says, choosing her words carefully. She pauses too. "Also, you're pretty cute."
Aha. You smile. She's not bad herself, a little awkward, with mousy brown hair, glasses, and a toothy grin, and from what you remember, she's very sweet. You wouldn't mind getting to know her better, especially after all she's done for you. All in all, this is a pretty great outcome.
