Marcia Caldwell: Paranormal Private Investigator

Rusty Learns the Truth

added 2 years ago O

Bringing up the portal specifically had been a test. Rusty knew that the only people aware of the portal were Christine and his boss. The fact that Ben and David didn't even show the slightest bit of confusion proved that they were well aware of what was going on here, and what presumably was about to happen. The old Rusty would have immediately restrained the men. The old Rusty would have yelled for Marcia. But just as the dream had told him, he had no desire to do so. His dick throbbed as the energy from the portal tingled around him. “Or whatever we need to do to make sure it stabilizes.”

Ben and David smiled. “Good boy,” David said. “I was hoping the hellhound would get one of you. Not that you two would have been able to stop what's going to happen,” he said with a confident air, “But now things are going to go much more smoothly.”

“You?” Rusty asked. “You're behind this?”

“Indeed,” David replied. “I'm the one who first cracked the veil here and started the portal's opening last month. Atwell mansion is one of the few spots on earth where three ley lines converge. It's a place of power. Christine's ancestors understood that. Atwell mansion was placed here as a way for them to guard this world. But then her bloodline began to lose faith in the old ways, and lessons stopped being passed down. A hundred years ago, I wouldn't have been able to set foot on this property. Now, I am about to usher in the new golden age of the werewolf.”

Rusty wanted that very much, he realized. Very, VERY much. And every fiber of his being was tellilng him to listen to this man, to ensure that what he wanted would happen. “So what's the plan?”

David smiled again. “When the portal opens, you and Ben here are going to guard it to make sure that nobody disturbs me. I will enter the portal and allow the hellhound's spirit to bond with my soul, at which point the portal will become fully anchored to this dimension, and I will be a living god. Once anchored, the effects of the portal will be magnified tenfold. Then the others will bring Christine and Marcia to the portal where I will ensure that they are bound to hellhound spirits as well. This mansion will be the seat of the Kingdom of the Wolf, with both of them as my she-wolf brides.”

“I'm..glad we're not killing them,” Rusty said. Somehow it made things easier. Some tiny part of him appreciated this. Not that he would have stopped her death from happening; this was his destiny. He knew that now, just as his dream-self had foretold. But still, he didn't hate her. They were friends. Maybe they weren't friends at this precise moment, but they would be, once she'd had a hellhound bound to her soul. Rusty had to admit a bit of jealousy at that – he'd only received the blessing of the beast's wound. He wondered at how much more incredible a full binding must feel. He almost opened his mouth to ask why the rest of them (or at least not himself) weren't being given this honor. But there was a pressure in his mind, telling him to OBEY. Rusty did, content in knowing that while he wasn't the most important person here, he was directly helping him.

“Once the portal is anchored, one of the chief effects will be an energetic field extending over the entirety of the property. Every male servant here has been blessed with the touch of the beast, though I cast a small amnesiac charm on everyone but Ben last night, once I realized we had an authentic psychic detective here. I was taking no chances on her discovering this plot by an unguarded thought or someone mistakenly acting oddly. Once the field is in place, they will succumb to the blessing of the beast and overpower the lady of the house and your former associate, as well as turning any other staff that have not been otherwise blessed by the beast.”

Suddenly, the sound of electricity filled the air, crackling and humming. Rusty felt the energy increasing around him, and his heart began to pound faster. He turned around and saw a whitish glow in the air that seemed to expand both vertically and horizontally as a tearing sound could be heard. His heart pounded harder as that incredible energy surrounded him and filled him. His cock immediately hardened, as he stood transfixed. Slowly, the air rippled, and then a doorway appeared, glowing with the same whitish light from the gaps around its frame.

David walked to the door, reaching out. Rusty's head was pounding with his heartbeat; it was almost deafening. He was hyperventilating, on the verge of changing. He wanted this. He wanted this more badly than anything he'd ever wanted in his life. He glanced toward Ben and saw the same eager expression on his face and the same bulge in his khakis.

David turned and smiled at the two of them knowingly. “Prepare to embrace a new existence,” he said to them as he pulled the door open, showering the room in a blast of the energy. He stepped through and immediately disappeared, but the doorway stayed open, bathing the two men in the portal's emissions.
