Rachel walks over to chessboard and sees most the black and white chess pieces set up, ready for someone to play with them. The only piece that was missing on the board was the white pawn that Rachel had put in her apron's pocket before she went through the mirror.
"So this is where that chess piece belongs to. I figured as much." Rachel said as she reach into her right pocket.
Rachel pulls out the white pawn piece and places it next to the others on the chessboard, completing the set and ready to start the game.
"Perfect. Now I just need to find someone to play a game ... with?"
It was then that one of the white pawns suddenly began to move on its own. After moving forward by a square, one of the black pawns began to move one square forward as well. As each side spent a turn moving each piece on the board, it became clear to Rachel that the game was playing on its own and that she wasn't needed at all.
"Guess I'm not playing after all. {sighs} Thanks for nothing." Rachel said out loud.
Rachel then proceeded to pick herself off the floor and then wiped some dust off of her Alice outfit. Afterwards, Rachel considers going back to her real room through the mirror. But then decides to explore the rest of the mirror house instead, since she had already gone this far.
Rachel begins walking towards the door, only to find herself going further into the room. Rachel stood in place confused for a bit, only to remember that everything here was mirrored. Rachel laughed at her mistake and turned around, walking towards the door. As she approached the door, Rachel reach out with her left hand (hovering it around waist level) to grab the doorknob. But instead of grabbing the doorknob, her hand bumped into the wooden door itself. Rachel began looking for the doorknob, only to realize that it was now at level with her chest instead of her waist. It was then that Rachel was reminded of her shrunken stature and the downsides that it had.
'My god, I'm so small. I could easily be mistaken for a child. Hell, I practically am one. Maybe I should go back.' Rachel thought to herself.
'No! I can't let doubt stop me now. This is too good of an opportunity to pass up.'
So Rachel grabbed the doorknob and turned it, opening the door and walking out of the room.
Like with the room, the upstairs hallway was also reversed. It was here that Rachel had a new choice. Go downstairs and explore the main floor. Or stay upstairs and explore the other rooms.
