The weeks past quickly for Marcy, the former Ty.
Se had started making changes early. Marcy had been a cute girl, but nothing spectacular. Ty had made changes to that the first night, turning her drop dead gorgeous. She altered Marcys wardrobe to match. She'd been pretty self-concious the first few days, especially when guys started hitting on her, but that didn't last long.
The longer she was Marcy, the more comfortable the body felt. She got more popular quickly. Even though she could be popular with a thought, she didn't do it that way. She simply lost herself in her new role as a teenage girl.
About a month in, a few days before Marcy was to turn 16, she even decided she was ready to date.
Calvin Phelps had asked her out about every other day since Ty had taken over this life, something that the former Marcy said had never happened before. Marcy resisted for a while, not even sure she wanted to keep this life. Finally, she gave in.
Lady, on the other hand, was not adapting as well.
Marcy had thought that the freedom of being a dog would be a huge improvment in her life. She had hated being human because she felt isolated at school and in life. Being a dog had seemed like a good escape.
The reality was very different.
She spent hours a day alone at home with nothing to do but doze. The food she ate was nearly tasteless, she felt degraded begging for scraps or forced to do tricks for treats that tasted barely better than her regular food. And the degredation of using the back lawn as a toilet had been a problem since day one.
It didn't help that her former life was being lived so much better by Ty. Sure, he had made changes in her appearence, but most of that was just window dressing. What Ty was doing was taking this chance to actually live. The new Marcy was more extroverted, more open, and more freindly to people.
The old Marcy, forced now to sit at home and chew on a bone all day, didn't like it.
The final straw was watching her former body get ready for her date with Calvin. She stood in front of a mirror and used her powers to change clothes every few seconds.
"Where is he taking you?" asked Lady.
Marcy paused wearing a skin tight blue dress that showed off her slender figure and large breasts, "There's a dance at the school tonight, and he'd taking me to dinner after." She switched the dress color to red, then black before going back to blue and dropping the neckline a bit.
Lady sighed, "I've never been to a dance before. Have you?"
She settled the dress and was adjusting her makeup, "Once, a couple years back. Of course I went stag, and I was a guy." she added with a grin.
Lady couldn't stand it anymore. "Ty, this isn't working for me. I know that you told me..."
"That this was my life now," she finished without looking away from the mirror. She sighed, "I'm sorry, that was a bit rude." She sat down on the bed next to the golden retriever. "Lady, I like this life. My life before this sucked: Foster families that hated me and lost in a system that didn't care. Now I've got a real life."
"But it's my life, Ty!" she said.
Marcy shook her head, "This wasn't your life, I've made Marcy a different person than the one you were." She stood up and got her purse, "Look, Calvin is picking me up in a couple minutes. I'm willing to change things in some way. I owe you that. I can do anything from make you forget you were human to making you a sibling, but I won't give you back this life. Think about what you want, we'll talk later."
