“O. M. G.” Danny looked up at the sound of a shocked female voice. His jaw dropped. The girl that had turned him into a toddler was back! “Dan?”
“Uh, ever since I got turned three, I’ve been going by Danny,” Danny said. The girl gasped.
“Oh, no! I forgot to turn you back into an adult?”
“Yeah. Sort of.”
“I could have sworn I put everything back to normal!” the girl said. A middle-aged woman walked up to them. “Mom, this is the employee I told you about.”
“The one you turned into a little boy for fun?” the mom asked. The girl nodded. “Why is he still a little boy, then?”
“I messed up and forgot to fix one of the settings,” the girl said.
“And one of the most important settings, too, it seems like,” the mom said. She sighed. “Well, change him back.”
“But he’s so cute!” the girl gushed. Danny stood before them, unable to say what he wanted at risk of being fired. “And it’s been a month, so he’s probably used to it now!”
“It’s been a month?!” the mom demanded. She put her hands on her hips. “Lacey, make that poor boy older. Now!”
“…Fine,” the girl, Lacey, mumbled. She scanned Danny’s badge with her phone and tapped on it a few times. Lacey’s mom nodded, satisfied.
“Good. Thank you for fixing that. I’ll only ground you a little bit now.”
“Ugh. Mom!”
“Don’t ‘mom’ me. Come on, we need to get more things.” Lacey’s mom dragged her away, before either of them could see what age Danny had been brought to.
