Jake And The Kit

A tiny hand grabs the Kit, the hand belongs to a 8-year-old boy named “Jake”, he is a slim boy, he has thin arms, a firm bum, feminine looking legs and wide hips. For anyone who does not know him, or meets him for the first time would mistake him for a girl, even with his short black hair, since girls can also have short hair in a boy-ish style. His skin has a natural brown tan and he has hazelnut-brown eyes. Jake gets bullied a lot because of his appearance, a lot of his fellow students call him names like “fagot” and “tomboy”, but Jake simply ignores them. The boy has not many friends, only one: a 9-year-old boy named “Zoran”, who has short blond hair, blue eyes and a “normal” boy appearance.

Jake is being treated to pick a toy or game by his mother, for being brave at the dentist's earlier in the day. The boy saw an add on TV about the Lab Kit and he fell in love with it right then, he begged his mom to get him one when it is released, so she made him a deal: if he would be a good boy for two weeks and stay calm when they visit the dentist for his yearly check up, she'd buy him the Kit.

The boy did his best to behave himself, as the release day of the Kit moved closer and closer, Jake got more and more excited and giddy. While at the dentist he prayed that there would be a Kit left for him. Seeing that he managed to snatch the last of the Kits he could not hold in his joy, so Jake grabs the Kit with both hands and runs to his mother, holding the Kit up to her and shouting, “I GOT IT... YAY ME!”

His mother simply chuckles and shakes her head, “well done, Jake,” she says, “but try and keep your excitement under control. You are disturbing the other customers.”

Jake looks around and sees other kids and grown ups look at him in a displeased way, “s-sorry,” he quietly mumbles, hanging his head.

His mother ruffles his head, “don't worry about it,” she says calmly, “come, let's pay for the Kit and head home so you can start experimenting.”

Once they arrive home, Jake jumps out of the car, the second his mother parked it, he then dashes into the house and up to his room, leaving his mother behind who just chuckles and shakes her head.

Jake wastes no time, he puts the Kit on his desk and tears the plastic seal off of the box, he then opens it and takes everything out and setting it up on his desk. There are small vials which have different colored liquids in them, some glass tubes, bottles and cylinders for mixing the chemicals into something new.

Once everything is set up, Jake grabs the manual and opens it, he reads through it, but since it is made for grown ups Jake has a hard time to understand some of the words and phrases in the manual. From what he understands is that he can create some kind of spray or multiple sprays which were meant for animals, but were able to also be used on humans. “I guess that the sprays I can create with this Kit are some kind of medicine for animals and/or humans,” the boy mumbles to himself.

Jake decides to see if the manual has some kind of a tutorial spray, which he could create as a test, but the manual does not seem to have such a “test spray”. With a sigh Jake decides to just create a spray blindly, without really knowing what to do. The boy grabs a empty glass container and one of the vials, which has a blue liquid and is labeled with “intelligence” and pours a little sample into the container, next he grabs a vial with a yellow liquid which is labeled “talk” and adds it to the blue liquid. Jake then takes a glass rod and uses it to stir the liquids until the liquid turns a nice bright green. The boy then pours the mixture into the spray bottle, which had come with the Kit, and looks at it for a while. “I wonder if it works,” he mumbles, he then looks over at his pet, who is sleeping, “would be kinda cool to be able to talk with him and make have him become smart,” so the boy walks over to his pet.

After a moment of hesitation, Jake aims the spray at the animal and coats the animals body with the liquid, the animal does not wake and continues to sleep. Jake walks back to his chair and after placing the bottle on his desk, watches to see what happens.

After a while Jake becomes bored, his pet continues to sleep and he does not want to wake it, so he decides to just go and meet up with Zoran for a round of soccer until super time, by then his pet should be also awake. Jake leaves his room, leaving the bottle, which still has some liquid left over, and the lab Kit with all of its contents open on his desk. The boy closes his door and heads down stairs to let his mother know, that he'll be meeting up with Zoran.

Unaware to Jake, after he closed the door to his room, his pet wakes up. The animal feels a strange tingle run through it's body as the liquid starts to absorb into it, and a strange tingle in the animals head causes it to shake it's head, as if to clear it from a fog.
