You were Mark, a 30-year old man that had been on his way home from work as IT support. You remember that you were in a rush, It was your last day before your summer vacation. Your girlfriend was already at home waiting for you. You were going to go out for a 'celebratory' beer as soon as you got home. That was when you got an eerie feeling and looked behind you. But at that point, it was too late.
The last thing you remembered was flying though the air. 'How did I survive? Why do I feel so cold? Why do my whole body feel weird? Why can't I move?' All these thoughts racing through your mind. "and where am I?" You mumbled. Trying to open your eyes, but the light in whatever place you where was blinding you, so all you could do was squint.
"You're awake" a shadow in the corner of your eye exclaimed. "You need to take it easy - your brain hasn't adapted to it's new home yet". 'What is he talking about? New home? adapted? He sounds insane' you thought to yourself.
"You see" the shadow added "You were in an accident. The only thing we could save was your brain. But luckily for you, that made you a prime candidate for our little experiment. We put your brain into somebody else's body. Isn't that amazing? And this time, it even worked!" the shadow told you, with a real sense of pride in his voice.
"Of course, this is all terribly secret, but we'll go through all the details soon enough." the shadow told you. At this point, you had absolutely no clue what was going on. You'd been in an accident and what you guessed was a doctor or a nurse was clearly having a laugh at your expense. Brain transplant? New Body? Secret? It all sounded ridiculous. "Are you starting to see a little better again?" the shadow asked, now more a blur. "Yeah" you responded. Your voice not sounding quite right. "Good, good. We've brought a mirror. We'd like to see the reaction of seeing your new self for the first time. All in the name of science of course. I do love my job" He chuckled. "It helps when science pays real good too" a new voice added, joining in with the chuckle.
They rolled you towards a large mirror, tilting your bed into an upstanding position. You now realized why you couldn't move. You were securely strapped in. You also realized why you felt cold. You were naked. As your eyes focused on the mirror, the image got less and less blurry. What meet your eyes was incredibly freaky. Staring back at you were indeed not you. But somebody else. "No, no, no, no, this can't be real! What the fuck is going on!" You said in a panic. This was insane. Looking back at you in the mirror was...
