Jason had been pretty unnerved by the encounter with the witch. Still, it was all made-up, right? There was no such thing as magic. However, he still felt strangely uneasy for some reason. As he tossed and turned in his bed, his sleep was choppy and unpleasant. Finally, he managed to rouse himself, groaning as he got out from under the covers, wondering what time it was.
That’s when he noticed his bedroom, and sat up in shock. It didn’t look like his bedroom at all. It had similar dimensions as it, but he didn’t recognize it.
The walls of his room, formerly green, were now a light baby blue, with clouds and cutesy teddy bears painted on the walls. His bookshelf and desk that he used to study at had been replaced by what seemed to be a large changing table, with several packages of diapers stored underneath it. A baby bouncing swing sat across from it, and beside that was a dresser full of baby clothes. There were plushies and baby toys laying strewn about the childish foam mat covering the floor of his room, teething toys and wooden blocks, even a baby bottle, pacifier, and an open coloring book and crayons. The walls were decorated with other childish scribblings on paper, and a few on the walls themselves, rather than his old band posters. The scent of baby powder wafted wafted in from somewhere nearby. What’s more, he soon noticed there was a mobile dangling over his bed, slowly turning and playing soothing lullaby music, and saw the bed itself had bars along the side, he had been sleeping in a crib.
He was horrified, this wasn’t his bedroom, it was a nursery! He wondered how he could’ve gotten here, then remembered the curse. Strange as it was, he couldn’t deny it. Something had apparently happened to him after all.
“Jason! Bweakfast’s weady son!” He heard his dad’s voice, strangely soft and childishly lisping, coming from outside the door, accompanied by a bizarrely ‘cutesy’ giggle. So his family was here too, it seemed, and he shuddered to think about what the curse may have done to them. Still, as much as he would’ve rather stayed in his room, he figured he’d have to go out sometime and see what had happened to his family, much as he was dreading it.
