Looking there were food aisles near one end of the store, some clothes, here and there, some electronics near the back of the store... and as you pondered at what to get you walked to the end of the store opposite the food and found what looked like some medieval armory... that also had guns and modern looking combat stuff.
"...What the?" You muttered as an employee near came by
"Ah, welcome to the weapons section. Most of this stuff is bolted down with magic, and I'm the guy who gets them unstuck. If you're looking for a gun we're under same old state and federal regulations, but we could get you a pocket knife or a stick that can shoot stuff and is technically not a gun."
"Why are you carrying so many explicit weapons?"
"Just in case you want to be able to protect yourself and in case we need a lot of weapons to protect ourselves from say a mob."
"...So... these are lethal?"
The employee shook his head then he thought and said "I mean if they get disenchanted a lot of the weapons like the swords are swords... Then a bunch of our rifles have special enchantment to let them be lethal against animals for the purposes of hunting, but for the most part our magic weapons give temporary effects meant to neutralize a threat temporarily with minimal physical side effects." This intrigued you, the city did feel like it was getting more dangerous every month, but having a weapon on you felt dangerous... But if the weapon wasn't inherently dangerous then...
"Let me see what you have."
