The Magic Shop

Walking through fairy city

added A year ago S O Magic

Spark and her family hovered close by their human companions while Connor, Rei, Nat, Miles, and Miranda all took in the scenery of the fairy world. They had seemed to walk through a door in a tree that hadn't been there before and when Miles looked back to see the door again, he saw that it was vanishing altogether.

"Uh, should we be worried that the door's not there anymore?" Miles asked them.

"Oh, don't worry, that was just one door. There's plenty of doors to our world, you just have to know a little magic or have a fairy who knows how to open a door." Star explained as they proceeded further into the city.

The city looked like it was surrounded by trees in the middle while all the houses looked to be rustic with a few houses going in looking like ones from a different century. They noticed other fairies pass by them and occasionally some would stop by to look at them before proceeding onward. Miranda noticed a group of little fairy girls standing near each other looking curious but fearful at them. Miranda got a little courage to go close to them.

"Oh, don't be shy, I'm just an ordinary human girl who was shrunk. See?" Miranda said as she held out her hand kindly to the little ones. A small fairy girl close to Miranda gently took her hand and smiled then opened her mouth and almost bit off her middle finger before Midna pulled her away quickly.

"No! Bad little ones, no biting humans. That's a very bad thing." Midna looked at the little fairy girls as Miles and Miranda were pushed ahead a little by Midna.

"Sorry about that, those fairy girls are young so they're still learning." Midna apologized.

"Oh, how old are they?" Miles asked.

"Well most of them look to be about 50." Midna replied.

"50?!" Miles and Miranda exclaimed.

"You do know that humans and fairies age differently right?" Midna asked them as the two of them thought it over for a minute and realized that she did make some sense.

Nina and Rei overheard this conversation and looked up towards Connor and Spark who were a little ahead of them.

"Does that mean that Spark is technically older than Connor?" Rei asked her girlfriend.

"I guess from their perspective Spark is technically a teenager, she does have older sisters." Nat replied as they noticed Spark now floated closely to Connor while holding his hand and leaning on his shoulder.

"Besides they're a cute couple." Nat smiled as she looked in the distance to see a large (by their perspective) castle in the middle of the city.

"Oh, this is so exciting, we're about to meet the Queen of the Fairies!" Rei exclaimed excitedly.

"About to?!" Star said looking at Rei.

"Oh no, no, no, no. You don't just randomly come into the city and ask to see the queen. You have to make an appointment, which I already did for tomorrow. You have to dress properly for when you meet her. Spark, don't you dare dress up like a punk rock star like the first time you met her." Star said glaring at Spark who whistled innocently.

"This is the most important rule: wait until the queen finishes speaking before you speak. Now come on everyone, maybe we can stop by Midna's shop first. I think she left our little brothers Zephyr and Cosmos to look after it." Star said as they proceeded onward.
