The person in the middle continues to remain the same, even as you picked Robot. Your aim always has been for being decently well rounded, and while human characters were allegedly the jack-of-all-trades, Brenda and a decent amount of other players felt like that they were unfairly boosted up due to both their 'balanced' stats and how much support the game gave them in DLCs and Microtransactions... Plus, you've always avoided playing as completely normal humans in any case. Sometimes rolling with Damon's obsession with Merfolk and making Mutants and Aliens based in aquatic environments, or that one time you tried to roll with Brenda's interest in serpents (it didn't go that well).
Personally, however, you've resonated more with the Robots in this game. From their wildly different forms, to their unique abilities! Such as forming weapons from their limbs, to being able to be easily modified into the build you want! With all kinds of items and armor, that for players of other archetypes are simply used as gear, being able to be implemented into a robotic player! Not to mention that unlike other archetypes; they don't need to encounter special events or go through questlines to shift into another species (or archetype, in the case of humans), but robots can just be modified into such other forms... Even if they can't end up genuinely biological.
After that though, you absentmindedly selected the Cyborg hexagon to see if it changes the individual in front of you, and finally, it does. With them soon having one of their arms grow bulkier than the rest of their body and lined with panels, as a visor forms over their face, a wiry tail spilling out from their back as their legs grow out into mechanical substitutes. However, the changes simply continue as their mechanical components constantly shift around, switching from one set of mechanisms back to biology; with parts being replaced in other places. Seems like this was simply a demonstration of the many options for cybernetics to start out with and focus on.
Once you get over your surprise at this, you find yourself driven to see what the other options contain.
