Maria had, naturally, heard many a story involving angels during her childhood, and she'd read her Bible enough to know they weren't all just humans with wings, either. And, though she knew it was foolish to think of such things, she couldn’t help but be attracted to the idea of being friends… or perhaps more… with them. Ever since she was a child, she’d literally dreamed of spending time with them, being protected by them.
She imagined them as beings of perfect kindness and love, unhindered by mortal needs or desires, able to represent the ideals of humanity in their purest forms.
Yes, she knew what her test would be.
She imagined the perfect form, not just a human with wings, but not a set of flaming wheels with countless eyes, either, a happy medium between human familiarity and the otherworldly.
“Alright, if you’re sure,” Maria took in a deep breath. “Lilith, become the angel I’m picturing in my mind, as I will.”
“There we go,” Maria said. “See, nothing…” Her voice trailed off.
She blinked a few times, swaying slightly, as if she was growing faint.
“Lilith? Are you okay?”
Maria moved to grab the other woman. But before she had the chance to fall, her body seemed to rise up off the ground. Lilith’s eyes shut, only to open again, glowing pure white.
Maria gasped and stepped back. “It… It’s true…”
“M-Maria, I… I can’t…” She let out a groan, as her whole body began to shimmer, though not as brightly as her eyes. Maria yelped as she watched Lilith’s legs each seemed to split down the middle without breaking skin or bone, then again, and again, the thinner appendages looking something twisting tree roots or jellyfish tendrils.
Lilith panted, weakly glancing down at herself as her skin took a polished, smooth sheen, its color like marble, interrupted seemingly without pattern by seams of silver or gold.
Maria was in awe of the otherworldly form taking shape in front of her, but terrified in the knowledge that she had the power to have brought it into being, and that she’d done it to the woman she loved.
She knew she could undo this. If Lilith was suffering in this process, she SHOULD undo it. And yet, whether it was the subconscious desire to see her fantasy made real, or the spell not allowing a new command until the first had finished, she couldn’t find the words. She only reached out and grabbed the transforming woman’s hand, noting its smooth, stone-like texture, that still, somehow, gave off the subtle warmth of life.
“It… It’ll be alright, I promise,” Maria said, looking up at the other woman’s radiant face, locked in a confused, panicked expression.
The light of her glowing body seemed to eat away at her clothing revealing more of the flawless, stone-like skin. Maria felt pangs of guilt, but couldn’t look away, though by this point, Lilith’s anatomy bore only a vague similarity to that of a human woman. With a gentle trickling sound, water began to flow down Lilith’s back, concentrating in four points, one on each shoulder, and one on either side of what were her hips. Each pool of the liquid slowly swelled up into broad, flat shapes, taking the clear shape of feathery wings.
A ring of yellow light manifested above Lilith’s head, five blue eyes appearing across the Halo’s surface. Her nose and mouth both sealed over, and any trance of them vanished, briefly leaving her still-glowing eyes in a state of panic, before she apparently realized she no longer needed to breathe.
Maria? Lilith’s voice suddenly seemed to ring directly into Maria’s mind. Am I dreaming? I feel… unreal…
Maria tried to steady herself. “L-Lilith? I’m… I’m sorry… Do you feel… Okay?”

Meanwhile, back at LeChat’s, Tiffany was looking into a crystal ball, watching as the Teratophile that had been that had been in her shop earlier contemplated how to handle her power over her boyfriend after turning him into a spider-creature, when a sound like chimes played, alerting her that another user of her spells had taken the first plunge.
Shifting the frequency of her crystal ball to match that of the spell she’d been alerted to, she was pleasantly surprised to see the face of Maria within.
“Well well, I was worried she wouldn’t have it in her to try it. Lets see what the results are…”
Her eyes shot wide when the camera pulled back to reveal a feminine, angelic creature.
Various curses in long-forgotten languages passed through her lips as she saw the yellow glow intensify.
Tiffany had already been a little worried about how the spell might not work properly, given it was designed for males. But this was the first time since she’d started offering this spell to women, that one of them chose to turn their partner into a holy being. There was no telling how her magic would mix with that.
She watched with bated breath, both terrified and intrigued at how the spell would play out.
