Jen didn't believe his curse. She just assumed that Kyle was messing with her. She got the rest of the way ready for school, almost forgetting about the phone call. She ate a hardy breakfast, putting the terror of the T&D curse behind her. It's just a myth, quit being so worried! she told herself.
However, when her phone rang, she went ahead and stood by her car. At least you'll still be mobile if you merge with this, a voice in the back of her head told her. She shuddered, imagining the possibilities. What if she merged with her house?! Taking a deep breath, she accepted the phone call, praying they wouldn't ask for her name.
"H-hello?"
"Good morning, it's Janet with Glendale Dentistry. I'm calling to confirm an appointment for Jennifer Smith next week, is she there? Hello? ...Hello..? I'll call you back... *click*"
