It began when I made her clothes disappear

Genie

added A year ago O Mythological Magic

The Page Amanda had stopped at was of a lamp. An old fashioned Arabic Oil Lamp which I found confusing “You...want to be an Oil Lamp?” I asked.

“No silly. You ever seen or read any form of Aladdin, Disney films, Ruth Manning-Sanders or Mike Resnick books or maybe even the old TV Series I Dream of Jeannie or it’s cartoon Adaptation?” Amanda inquires.

“As in Genie Lamps- oh I get you. You have a dream about being a Genie” you realize.

“Mainly to know first-hand what power they really have and how the rules most media portray them as having can affect them” Amanda assured “Plus it might be fun to give the ring a little rest”.

“OK. Ring I wish for Amanda to become a Genie” I called out. In doing so some wired Key attachment forms on the outer layer of the Ring while both a Lamp like Amanda had in her book and this outfit consisting of red baggy patalons with gold rings around the waist and ankle-holes, a red crop-top with exposed shoulders but mini-sleeves and tassels attached to the top’s ending with tiny gold bobbles, red and gold Arabic pointy toed shoes, a golden tiara with red genstones and golden bracelets.

I was then suddenly hit by the sudden knowledge burst often given upon asking when unsure of the results and for good reason it turned out. Apparently while Amanda was a genie she would be the power vestal to this wishing powers in place of the ring. The exchange happening once she was wearing the bracelets and using the key attachment on this keyhole on the lamp’s lid, rest of the costume was for the theme. To undo the wish all I needed to do was use the key while Amanda was outside the lamp.

I was also informed how like with the Ring itself there would really be no limit to how many wishes Amanda could grant though as a person with a full mind of her own she had influence over wish outcomes though by genie law apparently was unable to truly prevent successful wish-making from happening. And of course I explained everything to her as best I could.

“Best turn around then” Amanda asks. Which I do while overhearing the unmistakable sound of clothes hitting the floor, obviously from Amanda changing into the outfit. “OK All done” Amanda calls once she was fully dressed and I turned to face her with the genie outfit actually suiting her well.

“You all set to be a genie then?” I asked.

“Is the fantasy I requested we try” Amanda answered.

Saying nothing more I inserted the key into the lamp’s keyhole and watch first as Amanda underwent a sort of brief shock as the jemstones on the bracelets and her eyes flashed a red light. Then was Amanda was still stunned a red mist started supping out of the lamp and circling her until she was completely hidden until the fog started reversing its direction but its departure didn’t uncover Amanda but instead she had vanished. Surely now she was the Genie in the Lamp:
