She sat the case on the new dining table and immediately forgot about it.
Hours passed, Mary was still trying her absolute best to sort out stuff from the mislabelled bags of stuff she was moving.
Mary, at the ripe age of 25, had finally moved out of her parents house. Sure, it was going to be a rough start, but moving into her aunts old house was easy enough and much cheaper as she was only paying her rent while Mary figured out her job and life.
She decided to single-handedly move all of her stuff in all at one… which she was beginning to regret.
The best part about moving out was definitely getting away from her little sister, Megan. That little brat was nothing but trouble, and considering she’d just turned eighteen and still acted like a fourteen year old, it was nice to have a little distance.
— A Few Months Later —
Moved in comfortably, Mary was sat down in her living room with her nice little sofa watching TV. It was a Sunday, which meant she had absolutely no work to do until the following day. Then she heard a knock at her door.
Intrigued, and with nothing else to do, she got up and approached the door. Wearing nothing but a baggy sweater, sweatpants, and some flip-flops, she opened the door expecting to see a next door neighbour greet her or at the very least expected to see Aunt. What she saw instead was a strange wooden case,
“Huh.” She said, leaning down to take a closer look. She noticed a small button top. As any normal person would, she pushed it out of curiosity. Suddenly case opened up, exposing what looked like a number of small vials. There were so many it was hard to even count them,
“Did I order these when I was drunk?” She asked herself, then promptly said, “probably,” shrugging her shoulders. Without thinking much of it, she lifted the case up and began to make her way back inside.
