Welcome to Beaverly Creek, a quaint little town in the Pacific Northwest.
Home to lots of turn of the 19th century architecture. Most of the town was built in the early 20th century, and it shows. It's a tourist trap, filled with lots of bistros and coffeehouses, bookshops, antique stores, specialized candy stores and various ethnic cuisines made family friendly, especially along the lakefront. Lots of charming old boats lines the harbor of the surrounding lake. It's a very charming place to be.
There is a new family in town. They've moved into an old Victorian house. They are not allowed to interact with others of their kind without permission. You see, this is a family of wizards and they've had to agree to certain rules and restrictions. No longer are they allowed to be a part of the wizarding community. The father, Hanson Preston Winkersalamander, was seen as a moral sourpuss. He was extremely stern with his children, who often found themselves getting into trouble. And they all just had to get involved in an effort to expose an evil wizard. Hanson's children rebelled against the Order of Wizards, and that never goes well. He is infuriated with all seven of them, even though they defeated an evil wizard and exposed him to the rest of the council. The Council lost face and banished them for that and accidentally setting fire to several castles. It was a long story.
The family is capable of many magical transformational feats.
Our characters:
Hanson Preston Winkersalamander; the father, looks to be in his mid 40s. A commanding presence with striking looks and gray streaks at his temples.
Wilhelmina Crystalglass Winkersalamander; his wife. A bit of a snob. She would rather be back among her "own kind" of rich elitist witches.
Their children:
Kirk Winkersalamander, age 5, who is very artistic and imaginative. Loves animals but especially the wild ones. He often wishes he could grow up so that he could be a firefighter, engineer, truck driver, or construction worker.
Abigail Magnesia Winkersalamander, a genius 11 year old who is overly helpful and always ready to be of assistance
Loganberry Devildog Winkersalamander, a fiesty 13 year old, who is the most mischevious of his siblings. Slim, handsome, always finds himself as the center of attention even when he tries not to be. Knows he's gay, but not out of the closet to anyone yet.
Ramsey Maximus Winkersalamander, age 14, loves punk rock music, and sports a leather jacket and gave himself a cool looking mohawk, much to his parents chagrin. Highly effective at con artistry and lying. Manages to outsmart everyone financially and can always find ways of making money. Wants to be a stock broker, again much to his parents chagrin. Loves motorcycles and can't wait to drive one for the first time.
Constantina Olivia Winkersalamander, age 17, a devoted daughter to her parents, intends to carry on their legacy at any cost. Wants to take them back to the wizarding world but she is unfortunately falling in love with a rather dumb jock football player who happens to be gorgeous. She tries to look after her new friends with magic, behind their backs. Tries to be a good friend while keeping secrets.
Jax Cobb, the coolest kid at school. Has been dating Constantina even though his friends think she's slightly off. Jax looks like a future bouncer, large and blond with a buzz cut and enough crags between his muscles to keep a mountain climber busy. Built like a house and tall at 6'5".
Mack and Zack Winkersalamander, twins age 19, they are forced to find menial jobs since they will have to reapply for wizarding university.

All of the children have the magical gift to make others swap bodies, but luckily Kirk is responsible for the age of 5. The Winkersalamanders are very good with stressing the importance of asking permission to swap bodies with anyone, and the children follow those rules...usually. They can also transform other people into whatever they want to look like. Some of them have other magical gifts as well, and with all of them they are still developing new talents.
