Arianna had lost practically everything. She was filthy, dressed in rags, and evidently no longer had the authority to order around even a single farmer. But despite all that, she still had her pride (and ego), and refused to let a lowly peasant tell her what to do, let alone threaten her. So, despite any fear and helplessness she might feel, she tore her hand from the farmer's grip and glared at him.
"How dare you? I am not some base whore, I am a princess!" she spat at him, "Try to force yourself on me, and I'll have you gelded! I-"
SMACK
The farmer cut off Arianna's rant by viciously backhanding her, sending her stumbling back to the ground. She lay there for a moment, vision spinning, before the farmer suddenly grabbed her by the hair again and dragged her to the side of the barn, where he grabbed some rope. With Arianna still disoriented from the blow, she was unable to resist as he quickly tied her hands behind her back, and then shoved her towards the barn door.
"I gave you a chance, you stupid bitch, now move your ass!" he snapped, shoving her outside. As she stumbled out, he whistled and a mangy-looking horse wandered over. He climbed atop its saddle, and glared down at the bound princess-turned-beggar.
"Get moving to the village, girl," he growled, pointing down the nearby road.
"I won't," Arianna said, though her voice wavered as her stubbornness was worn down by the situation.
"Yes you will, either walking or carried over my horse like the potato sack you're dressed as. So what'll it be, Princess Ragamuffin?" he sneered. Arianna wilted under his glare, and shuffled her feet before reluctantly turning and walking towards the road, deciding to preserve what dignity she had left and moving on her own.
However, that didn't mean she was giving up - this farm was right next to the forest, so if she could outrun the farmer's horse, she could escape into the woods, and then hide until she could figure out someway to undo Bachus' spell and return her life to normal. But should she risk it? What would the farmer do to her if he caught her trying to escape? And also, if she did escape, she'd be on her own; in the village, at least, wasn't there a chance she could find someone to help her?
Ultimately...
