His phone alarm went off at 8 AM the next morning. Eric was never the kind to sleep in like most people on weekends. As usual, he reached for his phone to turn the alarm off. However, he needed to stretch his arm out to reach the phone.
His smartphone felt large on his hands, but he didn’t think twice about it. He began scrolling through Instagram looking at fellow bodybuilders he’d be competing against in a few weeks and commenting about their looks in his head. “Jeff’s gotten so small, Mark must be bulking again..”
That’s when he accidentally swiped right and triggered the camera app and discovered a shocking sight. Staring back at him on the phone screen was a young boy.
His squareline jaw rounded out considerably. The stubble that he had to shave nightly was nowhere to be seen. his Adam's apple had vanished, resulting in his gasp being several octaves higher.
Alarmed, he pulled back the covers. Exposed was a body far removed from puberty. Not a single bulging muscle or sign of maturity in sight. His limbs became miniscule and impossibly small, gone were his bulging biceps and thunderous thighs. His torso, once home to his six-pack abs and two perky pecs had flattened. His privates, once his pride and joy, had shrunk significantly.
Eric crawled out of bed, only for his boxers to fall swiftly to the ground. He abandoned the boxers and glanced at his new, or rather younger, body. The body that he had trained years for deflated into the scrawny figure he had throughout childhood. Devoid of any development of any kind.
That’s when it hit him, the machine from his son actually worked!
