The Age Room continued watching Moonbeam, feeling a sense of sadness wash over it. It was rare that an individual would talk with it, let alone notice what was happening. Sadly though, it appeared Moonbeam would be joining the legions of others before her as she became 11.
Moonbeam giggled, looking between the clock on the wall and her own jeans. "Wow I'm really just a kid now," she grinned, the hippy girl now bringing her hands to her chest. It amazed her to discover her breasts were gone. Glancing down at her legs she could see her discarded sandals as well as several inches of jeans that extended past her feet. Moonbeam was in awe, watching as her feet and legs continued to shrink, leaving more material laying empty in front of her.
"Hey magic man," she chirped. "You said this started with my great granddaughter. How old was she?"
"Ten."
Moonbeam glanced up at the clock, her eyes going wide as she saw it tick backwards once more. "Thats the same age as me," the happy ten year old exclaimed. A bemused look now crossed Moonbeams face as she looked towards the ceiling. "Hey magic man can you stop? I got a question."
The Age Room now did as commanded, Moonbeam's regression now pausing, leaving a 10 year old girl sitting in her oversized clothes. The room now curious as to this girls question.
"Hey can you bring back the others," she asked. "Like July and my grand kid and great grand kid?"
"Of course," the Room answered.
"Bitchin," she smiled. "But, I got one more question. Can you make it so that we're all 10?"
The Room paused, it have never been asked that before yet it believed it was within its power. "I believe so," it stated. "Csn I ask why?"
"Well I never got to meet my granddaughter or my great granddaughter," Moonbeam shrugged. "And it would be like, totally weird to see them all grownup, especially like this. Plus July might be more willing to listen at 10. Me and her didn't really see eye to eye when she grew up."
"I can do this," the room stated. "I will progress your daughter July to the age of 10, then her daughter, and finally your great granddaughter until all who have been unbirthed in your line are 10 years old once again."
"Awesome and can you also make it so that they remember entering in here too," Moonbeam asked. "Like let them have their regular minds in like kid bodies."
The Age Room agreed, finding Moonbeams request a tad odd yet intriguing. It had never tried anything like this before yet in a strange way savored the challenge. If nothing else, it beat the doldrums of erasing entire family lines from existence. "Any reason why," it asked.
"Cause it will be funny," Moonbeam said. "And if this really is some crazy trip I want to see how far I can take it."
As the Age Room was about to begin progressing July, Moonbeam interrupted it once more.
"Magic Man! Magic Man!"
"Yes," the room replied. Moonbeam fidgeted excitedly, an impish smirk spreading across her face. "You said if I went all the way back my mom would show up and grow younger," she said. "Then the same thing would happen to her and on and on."
"Yes I did," the Room stated.
"Out of curiosity," Moonbeam asked. "Could you like, bring her here before that? And my grandma? And like, make them the same age as the rest of us."
"I can," the room answered. "Is their any reason why?"
"It'd be funny seeing my mom no longer old enough to be a mom," she grinned. "And having my grandma back would be the coolest. Plus I've been told she was like super pretty when she was young. Oh and six is my lucky number, so why not have six generations in one room."
"You make alot of interesting requests."
"Well," Moonbeam replied. "Its my trip, might as go wild."
"Fair enough," the Room replied. "The only question is who do you want to start with?"
