Jeff’s Plushie New Life

added 10 months ago I

“Ugh. What happened?” Jeff groggily thought, having awakened from a long slumber.

He remembered being transformed from a diaper into a pink teddy bear, thanks to his mother. After that, everything was a blur. The stuffed animal stood up, and started surveying his surroundings.

“Wait, I can stand?” Jeff thought.

Apparently, despite being a stuffed animal, the teddy bear was capable of movement. He still wasn’t able to talk, but that wouldn’t be necessary. With the ability to move, he’d be able to get away from anyone or anything that might try to do him harm. He used this skill to walk around the environment, and try to find out where he was. He was in a room with light blue walls, and the door had a small gate in front. There was a rainbow mat on the floor, cubbies filled with toys, a really low table, and finally, a dresser with a padded top. Jeff recognized this. It was a changing table, and those drawers were filled with diapers. He tried not to dwell on this, for it might brought back painful memories of his time as a diaper. The teddy bear had all the necessary information to realize where he was.

“This was Nina’s playroom,” he thought, “But she grew up, didn’t she?”

Just then, he remembered the conversation his mother had with his father; the one about turning the playroom into a sort of daycare for the neighborhood’s young children.

“Oh no!” Jeff thought, “This is a bad place to be a teddy bear.”

He remembered that the playroom had a clock in it. He looked up at it, and read the time. It was 6:45 in the morning. At any moment, young children would come in, and the teddy bear would be in their sights. He began looking for suitable hiding spots, before he heard Jane walking towards the room. She opened the door, and then the gate, before staring at Jeff with a smile.

“Hi honey!” the mother said to her transformed son, “You’re finally up!”

Jeff walked over to Jane, and reached his arms towards her. He was hoping that she’d get him out of the room, sparing him from the horrors of the children. Instead, his mother crouched, and gave him a hug. While it did make the teddy bear feel comfortable, a chill ran down his back when Jane let go.

“Business will be slow today,” the mother told her son, with a sigh, “Only two will be coming over.”

While this was better than what Jeff was expecting, he still didn’t want any kids to come over.

“You remember Renny, right?” Jane asked, “She was just a newborn when you last met. Now she’s three years old.”

“There’s also Luke, but you wouldn’t have met him,” the mother commented, “He turned one last week.”

This wasn’t good. These two children were really young. There’s no way they’d treat the teddy bear gently. Once again, he reached up to his mother, in one last attempt to get out. Unfortunately, she didn’t catch on, and just kissed him on the forehead. Then, she stood up.

“Oh Jeff, it’s so nice to know that you’re back,” Jane said, “Now just stay here while mommy goes out to greet your new friends’ parents.”

The mother exited the room, leaving Jeff in dreaded anticipation.
