After practice Todd head straight for his locker, 'I need to get back to Chad,' he thinks to himself, 'I don't want him starting to turn back into a boring human. I have to stop by the pet store first though, no time to shower, I can do that once I am home and sprayed Chad with more dog spray.'
As he walked towards the parking lot, grabbing his bike on the way, the 16-year-old wonders what would happen if the can is empty. Would Chad stay a dog or would he transform back? Todd really hates the thought of loosing his dog a second time, the teen prefers his best friend Chad as a dog more that he is starting to forget that Chad was once human.
Arriving at the parking lot, the boy hears loud voices, when he looks towards the source he notices Rick and Bruno, the two school bullies, having what seems to be a heated discussion. Todd ignores the two and continues on his way, when he hears Rick tell Bruno something that sparks his curiousity, “YOU FOOL! I TOLD YOU TO WAIT UNTIL AFTER PRACTICE,” Rick is shouting, “NOT ONLY IS CHAD MISSING, SO IS THE CAN OF SPRAY AND CHAD'S CAR!!”
Bruno rolls his eyes, “Rick why are you shouting,” he asks, “Chad must have just simply drove home. All we need to do is drive by his house and blow the whistle, I bet he'll come running out, Chad does not own a dog,” neither of them are aware that Chad and his family had gotten a black Labrador Retriever puppy two days ago.
“WHY AM I PISSED,” Rick asks, “YOU REALLY ARE AS DUMB AS A FUCKING DOG, IF NOT DUMBER! WHAT CHAD SPRAYED HIMSELF HERE? WHAT IF SOMEONE FOUND THE “STRAY DOG” AND TOOK HIM? WHAT IF THE SCHOOL CALLED PET CONTROL? THERE ARE 20 POUNDS IN THIS BLODDY CITY!”
“Well, let's check all of the pounds, then we'll check Chad's home and if he is not there, then we'll check all of his pal's homes,” Bruno calmly says.
“AND IF WE DON'T FIND HIM,” Rick asks, “WE DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT TYPE OF DOG HE TURNED INTO! THE NANITES IN THE SPRAY DETECT EITHER WHAT ANIMAL A PERSON DESIRES TO BE, THE PERSON'S SOUL ANIMAL AND EVEN A PERSON'S FAVORITE ANIMAL! SO, HE COULD BE ANY KIND OF DOG, FROM A FREAKING CHIHUAHUA TO A BIG ASS MASTIFF!”
Bruno shrugs, “we'll just make a new dog,” he says.
Rick throws up his arms, “BLODDY HELL,” he shouts, “THAT WAS THE ONLY CAN I GOT, YOU KNOW HOW HARD AND EXPENSIVE IT IS TO GET THE INGREDIENTS!?”
“Um... nope,” Bruno says, “but you and your family are such rich snobs, that money shouldn't be an issue. By the way, you'd need to create more sprays anyway if you want to keep Chaddy stuck as a dog.”
Rick rolls his eyes, “IDIOT,” he shouts, “IF HE USES THE WHOLE CAN, HE'LL BE A DOG PERMANENTLY!”
Hearing this Todd smiles, that is one worry out of his head, in order to keep Chad as his dog, all he'd need to do is to use the whole can on Chad.
Rick clenches his fists, he is so mad, he'd love to sucker punch Bruno, but that would not make the dumb fat kid any smarter. The teen lets out a frustrated sigh, “let's not waste anymore time, first stop, the pounds,” he says, “pray to god that we'll find that dumb mutt, or YOU'LL be taking his place!”
Todd quickly ducks behind his car as the two bullies turn around and head towards Rick's Skoda Superb Sportline. The 16-year-old waits until the car is out of sight, before fastening his bike on the rack and high tails it to the nearest pet store.
Arriving at the store, Todd grabs a cart and heads into the building, he grabs two bowls, a big sack of dry dog food, a couple of toys, some bags of treats, a collar, a leash, a harness... everything what a dog needs. Todd heads to the register and pays the clerk, using Chad's card, emptying his friend's account, 'Chad won't be needing money anymore anyway,' he thinks to himself, the teen smiles, “all I need to do now is get Chad vaccinated, chipped and registered. I also need to think of a more fitting name, I can't call him “Chad”... maybe “Max” or “Rex”... hm... I'll think of something, but first: time to head home and spray MY dog with the rest of the spray, I just hope he hasn't started to change back,” so Todd revs his car and drives home, anxious to return to Chad.
