A new challenger, already? It was like a bee hive in here! "Yes, yes, Iīm almost ready!" You hurried up with your clothing, calling back your BeastGirls into their Cubes and opened the door. The bikini-clad lass at the other side eyed you up and down.
"Back to being a guppy, I see?", she smirked. After all, you had entered the dressing room as a curvy eighteen-year-old, and you left as a student right out of elementary school. Was there even an elementary school in this world? You had to ask later.
"I like myself better this way", you said.
"Of course. Now, come with me."
You made prying eyes at the pool as you followed the bikini lass to the exit. And right there he was, the new challenger. "Rick!"
He turned around. "Molly! Hah! I finally caught up to you! - Watch me take my next victory!"
You smiled, but shrugged. "Sorry, Iīm kinda in a hurry. Next town, next Brawl ... you know how it goes, right?"
"Wait, you have already won here?"
"Of course", you answered with a smug.
"She brawled me twice already", Molly chimed in, to your dislike. "We just had a rematch."
Rick seemed not to like that. In fact, he got furious. "Typical! You are so far ahead just because you let me do all the hard work. Fist with the package, then at Mt. Lunar ..."
"Mt. Lunar?", you interrupted him. "Whatīs with Mt. Lunar?"
"All this racket about Team Missile. You missed all that, right?"
"I ... kinda did." You rubbed your chin. "There was a cave. It was boring."
"It was totally not, it was full of bad guys, and you were no help at all!" And suddenly, Rick grinned. "Oh, but of course, there was treasure. You donīt have one, right?" He pulled something out of his backpack, it looked old and dusty and totally not like something a boy like Rick should carry in his backpack, between his dirty pants and chocolate bars. "Tada! Itīs a fossil, you see? My spoils of war."
"It looks icky", you said. "Is there a bone sticking out?"
"It is nothing but bones! Thatīs what makes it so gnarly."
Spoils of war, he said? You opened your own backpack. "Look, I got some real treasure. Itīs a nugget!" Triumphantly you presented the shiny piece of gold to him.
Rick hesitated. "Itīs ... itīs not better than mine!"
"It is!"
"No!"
At this point, Molly was fed up. "Hey, you little shits! How about continuing your little reunion outside?"
"Great idea, Miss Molly", Rick answered promptly, bowing to her. "Like real trainers, we shall decide with a brawl which treasure is the better one!"
Molly frowned. "Whatever."
