Brad slept with the basketball. Max and Bounder slept with their toy in Chad's bed.
At 7 am Brad woofed down breakfast. Put kibble and water in the dog bowls, and was out shooting baskets by 7:30 am. It was about 5 after 8 that Bruno and Rick showed up looking for their buddy Chad.
"Hey, Brad, Chad up yet?" Bruno asked with a smile suggestive that he was referring to Chad's morning wood.
Rick hissed, "Take a cold shower."
"Couldn't say. You boys up to a game of HORSE, guys?" Brad asked. He added, "remember, loser is horse, and I will ride your asses."
"Oh, you're on!" Rick replied. He peeled off his shirt, and held out his hands for the ball.
Brad threw Chad to Rick. Rick walked up to the free throw line painted on the driveway, and took his shot. Swoosh, it sailed through the net.
Bruno retrieved the ball and took his shot. Thud. Off the rim.
"H," said Brad.
All three men were sweating by 8:45.
The score was H-O-R-S for Bruno, H-O-R for Rick, and Brad had made every basket so far.
"Dude, you're unnatural. You never miss," whined Bruno as he took his shot. The ball rolled around the rim, Bruno said, "Go in! Go in!" It didn't.
"HORSE!"shouted Rick, and Bruno squatted and sat down in the grass next to the driveway.
Three shots later, Bruno shouted and pointed at Rick, "HORSE!"
"Come here horseys," Brad said facing shirtless Bruno and Rick. He gave them a bear hug. Their flesh melted together.
"Hey, what gives?" Bruno said in alarm his right arm was inside Rick. Their upper torsos were fused together. Rick's arm was inside Bruno.
Quickly Brad pulled their shorts down, then pulled their shoes off. Their naked flesh rapidly merged.
He left Bruno and Rick writhing on the driveway trying to separate as they only merged more. They had 3 three legs, and two heads and two arms. Then their hands balled up and became hooves. They weren't just merging. They were turning into a horse. Their swollen merging bodies were growing more massive as the two became one.
"Not sure which of you is the bigger horse's ass, so I'll let you two figure it out. When you two are done changing, I'll give you a ride to the farrier. Then we'll spend the day riding and shooting baskets at the park."
The mass of fused flesh blinked its three eyes, as Bruno and Rick's halves of their mouths bellowed a loud whinny. Rick didn't care what they said. He walked around to where he had parked his truck and horsetrailer last night. He backed it up into the long driveway.
Since he bought that locked chest at the estate sale last year, the contents hadn't failed him yet. The spell book had enabled him to transform Chad and his buddies, and the crystal ball had shown Brad the future over a week ago, so he had been able to rent the horsetrailer and book an appointment with the farrier to shoe his new horse Brick.
Magic was fun.
