Connor's barn apology

added 9 months ago S Mythological Magic

Spark was in her bedroom playing video games still mad over what Connor had said to her. She understood what he had been trying to say, but the way he said it made her feel weak.

"That dumb boy, that dumb...cute boy." Spark mumbled to herself. Spark suddenly got a text on her phone and saw it was from Connor. She first thought about ignoring it, but then decided to open it to see what he had to say. When she opened his text, instead it just had 'Please come out to the barn, I've got something to say.'.

"Can't apologize in text, huh?" Spark sighed as she transformed to her human form and made her way out to the barn. She noticed that storm clouds were building and it suddenly began to rain.

"No, no, no, come on! Not now, please!" Spark could hear Connor saying to himself as he began piling a blanket full of food into a picnic basket as quick as he could.

"Connor?" Spark asked curiously as the rain suddenly began to pour down harder forcing the two of them inside quickly into the barn as it was closest to them and their clothes were now soaking wet due to neither of them being prepared for the sudden change in weather.

"Damn it, this is a disaster." Connor said as he and Spark were drenched inside the barn.

"You mean our relationship? You got that right." Spark said crossing her arms.

"No, I mean....come up to the hay loft with me." Connor said as the two of them made their way up the hay loft in the Moreland family barn.

"Alright, what's this all about? Why did you suddenly drag me out of the house to get me soaking wet?"

"I didn't plan on the weather suddenly changing! Anyway, I was trying to make you an apology picnic." Connor admitted.

"Oh, that's what the basket was for."

"Yeah, but now all the food I had prepared inside the house got wet and the only thing that wasn't water damaged is this." Connor said holding up a glass bottle.

"Oh my god, is that alcohol?" Spark asked.

"Actually it's sparkling cider. My parents would freak if they caught me trying to swipe their alcohol." Connor said as he took out some glass bottles. Connor noticed Spark was shivering cold from getting wet, so he took out the picnic blanket and handed it to her.

"Thanks, but I'll still be cold." Spark commented.

"Well we could....take our shirts off since they're wet." Connor suggested turning red a little as did Spark.

Connor and Spark turned around and removed their shirts off their bodies and turned around to see each other shirtless. Spark had obviously seen Connor shirtless before but Connor had never seen Spark shirtless before now.

Both were quiet for a few minutes before Connor finally broke the silence.

"I've never thought you as weak you know."

"Huh?"

"I've never thought of you as weak. I always saw you as a confident fairy who could kick ass and you never gave a damn what anyone ever thought about you." Connor explained.

"You're damn straight I don't."

"But that's the thing, I've done nothing this whole time but thought about you. Before the situation with the vampires we weren't dating, but since we started dating I've thought about you more than ever. I've thought about how you dealt with the vampires and knew you could take them on and if I had been there, I would have fought right alongside them with you. But since those ghosts showed up and told us about how messed up this Ezekiel Kane guy is and my parents confirmed further what this guy would do to a fairy, I thought about you in that situation. I've only cared about your safety Spark, I wasn't thinking of you as weak." Connor explained.

"Well, you had a terrible way of saying it." Spark said still averting her eyes.

"So yeah, I'm sorry I came off as chauvinistic towards you. I want you fighting alongside me Spark. You're not just my girlfriend, you're not just my...future wife. You're also my partner in a relationship and fighting by my side. You're the most badass amazing woman I've ever met, human or fairy." Connor said as Spark finally turned to look at him with a smile.

Both of them saw that the rain wasn't letting up anytime soon.

"Looks like we'll be stuck in here a while." Connor commented.

"Yeah, just you, me, and a bottle of sparkling cider." Spark said as she drank first from the bottle then handed it to Connor to drink.

"So...what else do you....?" Connor began to ask before Spark wrapped her arms around Connor and kissed him on the lips. Connor was also surprised that Spark was using her tongue to kiss him.

"Whoa, that was...great." Connor commented.

"Yeah, it was. But if you ever say anything chauvinistic to me again I'll..." Spark began to warn Connor before he now kissed her back.

"I won't. Do you want to keep kissing like this 'til the rain stops? I think we got some time."

"Hell yeah." Spark replied as the two of them kissed passionately to what felt to them like eternity.
