Mark thought about all the possibilities he had right now. Aidan would be whatever he wanted him to be, at least if it was possible. But there was a part of him that screamed at him to stop this. Yes, he was somewhat sadistic, and liked to dominate others. But Aidan was one of his best friends, and he wouldn´t want to lose him. And forcing him into anything like this, as interesting as it sounded, felt absolutely wrong to him.
Mark decided after a few minutes in silence, as Aidan couldn´t say or do anything still. “Okay, Aidan. I want to experiment a few things, which I will do on you. But in the end, I will turn you back to normal, as I like the way you are. Is that okay?”
Aidan calmed a bit, hearing that Mark would change him back, but that still wasn´t how he wanted this to be. Not him as a guinea pig. He had become a little pink hearing that Mark liked him as he was, not knowing Mark was interested that way.
When Aidan didn´t answer him, Mark looked at him to notice the pleading look in his eyes. “Ah, sorry, I hadn´t thought about that. You can talk again, Aidan.”
Aidan sighed relieved, at least he could talk to Mark. “I don´t know if I like the thought of being a guinea pig for you, Mark. What if you decide halfway through that you wouldn´t change me back in the end, because you like the new me better?”
“I will promise you that I change you back, Aidan. I don´t want to lose one of my best friends. Can you trust me this far? As you said before, we can have fun together afterwards. And maybe you get a few ideas what we could do this way.” Mark said, hoping that Aidan trusted him.
Aidan sighed again. “Okay, I trust you, Mark, but you see how much control you have over me right now? I have no way to stop you right now.”
Mark smiled at Aidan. “I can only guess. But as I said, I don´t want to lose you as a friend. Some part of me wants to control you, maybe even own you, but that is suppressed right now. But I have an idea to give you some safety that I can´t “keep” you in any changed situation.”
“And what, exactly, is your idea, Mark?” Aidan asked when Mark said nothing else. Hearing that part off Mark wanted to “own” him wasn´t really making him feel any better.
“At least if it is possible, let us try this. Aidan, in two hours, you will change back to the way you were before I made the “Mark rules” input in you profile, with all your memories of the time, and I have no way of aborting this timer for you. Afterwards, Aidan, I can´t change you without you allowing me too so after you are back to normal. Do you think this works?” Mark explained, already commanding it to be so.
Aidan shuddered as if something cold went through him, and saw a timer appear on the chronivac behind Mark. “Okay, I think it will work. The program shows a timer behind you. But to be save, try if you really can´t abort it.”
Mark nodded before saying: “Aidan, your timer will stop now, and you won´t change back after two hours.” Nothing happened, and as Mark turned, the timer was still running. He tried to abort it next through the program itself, but it didn´t let him. Mark shut the program before reopening it after half a minute, and the timer had just gone on without a break while the program was closed. “Short of disrupting the power of your laptop, which shouldn´t work because of the battery, or completely destroying the laptop, I don´t know how else to stop the timer now. Are you satisfied with that?”
Aidan sighed for the third time since all of this started. “Yeah, I guess I should be safe. I don´t think you would destroy the laptop, as you would also lose the program then. Okay, you can start with your experiments, but please don´t kill me with this.” He lightly chuckled at the end. Mark would never just kill him, at least not unprovoked, right?
Mark himself chuckled as well. “I don´t plan on you dying, Aidan. Then all of this would have been for nothing, right? Maybe making you uncomfortable with something, but not permanently hurting or disabling you. Oh, before I forget, you can move again, but will keep some distance to me and the laptop.”
With light frown on Aidan´s face, he nodded anyway to show he was ready, and Mark decided to start his experiments about the limits of the program, if there were any.
