Silence.
Then the silence was broken by the clatter of approaching hooves. Chad expected a reindeer or maybe eight, when the suddenly a grotesque Satyr-like creature appeared. It had the face of a man, but horns, hooves, and was hirsute, and wore only a furry loincloth below his waist.
"Mwahohoho!" the creature said.
"Christmas Greetings, Krampus! Hermie made an acquisition error," Santa said with a wink and a nod toward the naked half-man, half-reindeer.
"Well, hello Santa. What brings you to call on your whipping boy so early in the season? Wait you still send Hermie out to collect manimals to pull your sleigh or wagon? I thought you got donkey boys from Pleasure Island?"
"Well, I still use reindeer boys to deliver to most of North America, and many other countries. The donkey boys are for Italy and a number of warmer countries." Then Santa turned his head toward Chad and Hermie, and added, "haven't used the goat cart since Hermie collected you. Haven't sent Hermie collect since then either. He did go on his own a few decades ago, during a particularly fogbound Christmas. Came back with Rudolph. So I figured, why not give him another chance."
Hermie look downcast and turned red.
"So what do you want me to do with Hermie's latest monstrosity?" Krampus said distastefullly.
"Oh, no. Nothing like that, Kramps. Rudolph worked out quite well with his red nose. I just thought since you lost your sidekick -um, Pete, due to political correctness. You might be able to use him as a symbol of white privilege? You could call it Karen. Gender fluidity is all the thing nowadays. Probably should refer to them as they instead of he, she or it, I suppose. "
Krampus crinkled up his nose .
"Hey, my name is Chad, not Karen. And I'm not gender fluid, I'm a guy!"
"Hm, Chad does work as a symbol of male white privilege? I suppose I could give them a trial for this Christmas. But if they don't work out, you will be getting them back on Boxing Day," Krampus said.
With a wicked grimace, the hairy goatman leapt across the room, and landed on Chad's bare back. His clawed hands grabbed Chad's reins, and shouted, "Into the night, Chad," as he dug his hooves in Chad's sides."
Chad flew into the air, and into the night, as the goat man guided him with the reins and his hooves. A long warm velvety cyndrical object pressed against Chad's bare back. He could only think of Bruno earlier in the week walking up behind Chad, and pressing his wet Speedo clad boner against Chad's back. Rick had told him about the wet imprint on his shirt.
