You took the "Likeable Lumberjack" socks off the rack. They were long wool socks made for boots. They smelled like they had been worn in boots too.
"Likeable?" you asked.
Mike shrugged. "He was very friendly and I'm not great at naming things."
You still don't believe Mike's story about people turning into socks and shoes. But you take off your shoes and socks and begin to wonder why you are doing this. You don't believe Mike and something feels off, but, something about the store seems to make it feel right.
