"You don't understand! I'm human, I'm not a cat!" Pam strained against the restraints they'd used to tie her to a bed. She'd been in this room for a few hours now, and no matter what lies she told or who she begged, fur had continued creeping over her body. But no one seemed to notice or care!
The nurse on duty turned back to the bed as she finished hanging a new bag of fluids. They'd put something in the IV line that had made her drowsy for a bit, but as the odd sensations of different changes occurring throughout her body assaulted her senses, Pam had begun to perk back up. "It's a little bit late for that, honey. I don't know what quack surgeon you got to alter your upper lip and nose like that, but you can't take it back now! ... Well, I guess you could, but sheesh; I can't imagine how much money you've paid only to have regrets now!" she shook her head as she pushed a syringe of medicine into the line - probably something to make her sleepy again.
"If you get me out of here, I'll... I'll give you a million dollars!" Pam begged. "I'm really rich! My father's a billionaire!" Nothing seemed to change with this lie, and Pam yowled as she felt a stretching-tearing sensation at her toes. She craned her neck and saw that her feet had torn through her socks, sharp claws tipping each toe just like on her hands. "Prrease! Yrrou have to berreive me!"
"The doctor will be in shortly to assess your mental state and recommend treatment. Just try to relax." she stroked a gentle hand down Pam's fuzzy arm before she left the room, leaving the catwoman alone again.
Pam was getting desperate - why weren't her lies changing things anymore?! Any why didn't anyone notice that she was ACTUALLY turning into a cat?! She could feel something squirming beneath her lower back, and was terrified that she'd find a tail attached to her spine! Her bones were starting to ache from being restrained on her back, as if her body could no longer naturally lay comfortably in such a stretched position. She twisted her wrist, surprised when she felt the bands sliding more freely. With a few tugs, her right arm was suddenly free, and she rolled to release her left. At the sight of her hands however, she paused: her fingers... they were so short and stubby! And there were rough pads underneath... OH god she had PAWS!
She frantically tugged her feet free, barely noticing how large the bed had become around her. Her claws sank into the rough bedding as she scrabbled to her hands and knees... no, her feet were under her! She was on all fours like a real animal! She awkwardly scrambled down from the enormous bed and clumsily walked on her hind legs to the bathroom, refusing to walk on her hands but having great trouble staying upright. As she grasped the sink she was both grateful for the lowered handicap-accessible facilities and horrified: What stared back at her in the mirror was nearly unrecognizable!
