The surge of magic crackled up and down their backs and made them twitch. Their tailbones snapped and split within their pelvises. Damon screamed to feel his crack and loosen. It wasn't painful, but it was an uncomfortable and unexpected vibration up his spine. New joints formed within his coccyx, and strange new veins and muscles built around the forming bones there, building up a lump upon his rear. He clenched his butt cheeks and tensed his back, trying to relieve the unwelcome feelings from down there.
Jenaela, for her part, just glanced toward her rear and watched her transformation gracefully. She had taken whatever form she wanted to as a genie, so she was no stranger to gaining or losing appendages. Since Abezekir had been fairly explicit about Damon turning into a canine, she guessed that she was turning into a dog, too, and the tail she was growing now would be hers for the rest of her short life. She might as well get to watch it form, fully experiencing a bodily transformation for the final time.
Damon was quickly reduced to moaning and shivering on his elbows and knees, trying not to feel his lump grow longer. He soon could feel it hanging down behind him, causing him to flinch as soon as the tip of it finally touched the floor. The magic tingles tapered off again, and the sensations of change died down, letting him take a breath and finally look behind him. He needed to see what the genie prince had done to him!
The thing he saw was long and pointed, curving just a bit to point somewhat behind him. It was hanging between his legs, all the way to the floor, just as he had felt already. It raised itself behind him; the thing was his to move around. He managed to make it point left, giving him a much better view of it than he actually wanted. He found it was just as easy to make it point right. It was like having a whole other limb at the end of his back.
Janaela looked up from her own new tail to find Damon chasing his around in something almost like a panic! When he finally caught it, he rubbed his hands along it and seemed to go into almost a trance staring at it. He winced from even weakly tugging on it, and quickly stood up and tried to ignore the part stretched out behind him. He looked at Abezekir, blushed, and stammered: "Y-you, you, um, you gave me a tail. I, I'm, I'm r--"
"You're really turning into a dog?" Abezekir finished his sentence for him. Damon's tail bent down and craned between his legs. He looked down in shame at the pink sausage-shaped organ that was finally sunk down more than halfway back into his sheath. Janaela felt sorry for him. All he'd wanted was some wishes and a night of passion with a real-life genie! Now the only sex he could hope for would be with a bitch in heat. The most she herself had to look for was to be that bitch.
"You both still act as though you don't deserve this," the genie prince said smugly. "You rutted like animals even though one of you was a magical immortal who should know better. Now you get to live your lives naked to the world and fulfill your carnal urges whenever the mood strikes! Of course, you will both need a new natural covering to replace the clothing of civilized races."
The tingling started up again and tickled their follicles, making both victims wiggle and scratch. Damon even grabbed his tail again to try to stop the itching as the densely packed hairs grew out. Damon's longer, flatter tongue tumbled out of his mouth instinctively from the escalating warmth around him. He felt himself grow fuzzy and tried to stop himself from panting like a dog.
