After getting back to his van, Steve loads both the wheelbarrow and the money in the back, and then quickly drives home. In the quite and solitude of his garage his takes 1/2 of the pile of money and tries to change Ed back, but is rewarded with a purple light, the ringing of bell, and the words "Low Batteries" on the screen.
"I wonder what kind of batteries this thing runs on?" Steve wanders over to his work bench and turns a bright desklamp. He studies the little device and can't find any obvious way to open it, or any indication on how to reenergize it.
Steve wanders into the house and tries searching online, but is unable to find any usefull help on the internet, although he does find a couple of ideas of how to use the device on some story sites. Going back out into the garage he fiddles with the buttons on the front again, and discovers a help function. "RTFM? Who knew...", he mutters to himself, "Not enough juice to work, but enough to keep running the display.
Steve spends a couple of hours reading up on his new toy, and finally figures out how to recharge it. Now the question is how is he going to get ahold of ...
