Unaware to Dan and Greg, the book Dan had found once belonged to a dark Wizard from a different dimension. Once the Wizard realized his days were numbered, he had infested the book with his powerful dark magic, then he cast the book out of his dimension and into another. The spell… or rather the curse… he had put on the book would activate once someone found the book. The person would then be slowly infected by the Wizard’s dark powers, slowly corrupting the book holder, turning him or her into the next Wizard or Witch of darkness.
Dan looks at his friend, “I noticed you coming to school in a Jeep Wrangler,” he says, “who’s car is it?” Since Dan and Greg aren’t classmates, Dan of course has no idea that the “car” is Greg’s.
So, it is no surprise that Dan’s expression turns to a very surprised look when Greg answers, “it’s mine.”
Dan raises an eyebrow, “I thought your family were not that wealthy and could not afford such an amazing vehicle,” he says, “so tell me: how in the world could your parents gift you with the newest Jeep?”
Unaware of what he is saying, Greg answers, “my brother Jeff got himself a program called “The Chronivac. Before he could test it out, our dad found out and tested it on Jeff, he realized that the program is able to transform people, animals and objects into various things.”
“Okay… whoa… stop,” Dan says, overwhelmed by the amount of information, “so, you are telling me: The Jeep in the school’s chop-shop is in reality a human being, who has been transformed by some crazy program?”
“That is correct, master,” Greg replies.
“Why,” Dan asks, “why transform his son, your brother, into a Jeep Wrangler?”
“Our class needed a car for a project,” Greg says, “our dad owns a car dealer’s ship, he did not like the idea to lend us a car to practice on. So, once he figured out what the program is able to do, he got the idea to transform Jeff into a vehicle so that my class could practice on it. I chose a Jeep, because I planned to go camping with some friends over the weekend.”
“I see,” Dan says thoughtfully, “does Jeff enjoy being a car?”
“Not really,” Greg says, “he didn’t want to be transformed at all, but me and our dad talked him into it.”
Dan chuckles and grins, “that is pretty evil of you,” he says, since it is not a question, Greg stays silent. The 15-year-old thinks of what to do next, ‘I need to get my hands on that program,’ he thinks to himself, he then smirks, ‘and I know just how to accomplish that.’ Dan looks at Greg, “I think we are done for now,” he says, “but before I awake you from the trance, here is what I want you to do: when the school is over, you will meet me behind the main building. You will introduce me to your “car”, I want to hear Jeff’s side of the story. When I ask you if I may sync my phone with the “car’s” computer, you will allow it, you will not question anything, no matter what I download from said computer, understood?!”
“Yes… master,” Greg says.
Dan grins evilly, “good boy,” he says, “now, I will count to three, once I reach that number, you will awaken but will not remember anything! One… Two… THREE!”
