Chad didn't like being in a net but it wasn't all that bad, considering his human thoughts were buried deep beneath simian urges and a feeling of wonder at looking at all the crazy new things around him. These biped creatures were weird. They were also strangely familiar, extremely so, even, but the reason why was way beyond Chad'd comprehension now. He stared at all the funny things he would like to touch or bring to his mouth. Were those funny to play with, or edible? When he grew frustrated at his own boredom, he touched and fondled his penis and testicles, bringing himself fast to an erection. Everyone ignored that. Chimps did so when bored, male chimps, and for all intents and purposes, in this world, Chad was exactly that. He had been before for the man in the yellow hat. His name was Victor and he had been a smart kid bullied by the football stars of his high school, Chad in particular. Little did they realize that Victor was a warlock and that he had come across a spell book with formulas to open doorways to other worlds and to enchant and transform people through objects. Victor had learned to cross worlds and this jungle one appealed to him. There, he could be a strong and mighty hunter. He could also take revenge on his enemies and Chad was the first on his list. Victor had always seen Chad as a dumb monkey, ruled by basic urges and impulsions. He and his friends laughed at their own bodily sounds and at the mere idea of mating. They were stupid and crass. So transforming Chad into an ape made perfect sense, really. The mind was altered too, even though spells fluctuated wildly in that regard. Chad might come back to himself at some point. And sending him to this jungle world made sense too. In fact, Chad was getting used to his new body extremely fast and well. Well, it figured. He'd acted like a stupid monkey to start with. No wonder he made such a fine one! No one would ever suspect he'd been a human once. Chad would stay in this world and be put in a zoo, left with toys and gestures to amuse visitors. A simple life fit for a simple mind he already had as a human. He'd even give him a football as his first toy, as tribute to his past favourite game. In the meantime, he waved his yellow hat at Chad, who grinned and seized it happily and playfully. A new toy! Shiny and strange! Fun! He automatically started chewing on it, oblivious to his fate as an entertaining attraction and object of study inside a park within a zoo. The trip would be long and uncomfortable, yet Chad, soon to be renamed Curious by Victor, would enjoy the food and new toys whereas he'd quickly forget it once he did tricks and faces to visitors of the zoo in exchange for nuts, bananas and other treats thrown at him.
