When Dean hears Eric calling him, he immediately comes shooting down through the tress, Eric smile, but that smile quickly turns into shock, when he sees Dean flips over in mid flight, his feet with those massive claws, aiming directly at Eric.
Eric has no time to react as Dean's clawed feet connect with his body, sending the Jaguar-Boy to the ground, “OUCH! WH-WHAT THE...,” Eric starts, but when he looks up he gulps, the face of the anthropomorphic parrot is altered in furry.
Amory, who is watching the scene from nearby, gets ready to attack the huge bird, who attacked HIS Eric. But as the Jaguar gets ready to pounce, he hears Dean speak up, and the parrot sounds angry.
“HOW DARE YOU, ERIC,” he shouts, “HOW DARE YOU SCARE AND WORRY US! WE HAVE BEEN SEARCHING FOR OVER TWO HOURS, WE THOUGHT SOMETHING BAD HAS HAPPENED TO YOU,” Dean digs his claws deeper into Eric's body
“Pl-please... Dean,” Eric whimpers, tears of pain and fear in his eyes, “I... I'm s-sorry... I d-didn't mean to! Pl-please, y-your claws... are hurting me!”
Dean, still furious, looks down and notices that his claws have sunk into Eric's body, the Jaguar-Boy bleeding, “SHIT,” he says and quickly releases Eric and moves away.
Eric slowly sits up, tears in his eyes, “I'm s-sorry,” he says again, “I... I should have let you know... or at least write a note.”
“Shut it, Eric,” Dean says, not sounding angry, but worried, “sh-show me the wounds.”
Eric moves his arm, which is covering his abdomen, away to show Dean see the wounds.
Dean kneels down, he gently places a clawed hand on Eric's tummy, he then sighs in relief, “phew, luckily not to deep,” he says, he looks at Eric, “I luckily just broke the skin with my claws, your fur is luckily pretty dense, even if it doesn't look like it. You are luckily not seriously injured, you'll be fine, when we're back at the camp we'll take care of the wounds.”
Eric looks at his friend, who still looks angry and worried, more worried than angry, he smiles and wipes away his tears, “th-that's okay,” he says, “I... I kinda deserve it.”
“No,” Dean says, he then sighs, “I'm sorry, every time I get worried I lean towards violants... I don't know why... it is as if my brain shuts off... I... I just don't think and I regret it after.” The blue-and-yellow parrot starts to tear up, he covers his face with his hands and starts to sob, “I... I lost so many friends, because of... this!”
Eric looks over at where he know Amory is watching them, he notices Amory looking worried, “I'll be fine,” Eric mouths wordlessly, he sees the Jaguar nod and duck back away. The Jaguar-Boy then moves to his knees, groaning from the pain, he then hugs his friend, “I forgive you, Dean,” he says, “if you forgive me. I promise never to make you worry about me again.”
Dean hugs his friend back, “I forgive you, Eric,” he says, they stay like that for a few minutes, “we should head back, the others are worried shitless.”
Eric nods, Dean helps the wounded Jaguar-Boy to his feet, “I must say, Dean,” he says, grinning at the parrot, “your claws are powerful weapons. I feel fine, just a little sore and bleeding, at least the wounds aren't deep.”
Dean nods, “I... I could have killed you,” he says, tears rolling down his feathered face.
Eric gently wipes the tears away, “hey, it's all good,” he says, “to be honest, I would have done something similar to you. I guess emotions like worry, anger and such really can mess up someone's mind.”
Dean nods, “I... I am glad all is good between us,” he says, he looks at Eric's tummy, “I think the bleeding has already stopped,” he says.
Eric looks down, “seems so,” he says, he then looks back up, “let's get back, I got to get this blood out of my fur.”
