The safety had a bit of a problem. Namely...it was near impossible to keep every detail of the previous reality intact. The memory wasn't big enough to store the entire world's worth of details in it.
In the backyard, Lilly and Jeff found themselves becoming self-aware again, naked on the grass in the yard. "What the hell?" Lilly said, feeling disoriented. The last thing she remembered was going for a walk, and now..."What happened? What are we doing here?"
As confused as she was, Jeff was confused as to why the world had reverted...unlike Lilly...he had a much clearer recollection of the last hour. "I'm not sure," he lied, rising to his feet.
"We'd better get inside," Lilly said.
