A wave of energy shot up from the ground from where the construction crew had be drilling down to place another steal rod to help the construction of the newest casino on the Vegas strip.
“What the fuck?” said one of the crew members as the energy beam shot up into the sky before spreading outwards in a massive wave of energy. The wave traveled over the entire city of Las Vegas washing over the hoover damn before finally coming to a stop just over 50 miles from it’s starting point. It washed over schools, homes, hotels, and everything else.
Everyone stopped what they where doing as time seamed to stand still for a second and then things began to change.
Things began to twist and deform, trees began to take on a more menacing look, palm trees seamed to grow armored spikes as concrete turned into blackened stone. Buildings grew more towers as modern buildings began to take on a more gothic appearance. Massive stone walls began to be summoned out of the ground wrapping around the bulk of the city like some medieval city. Across the city massive towers also began to rise only from each of the towers grew a dark purple crystal.
Before the stunned eyes of the citizens and tourists of the city, beams of energy shot up into the sky from each of the towers as the sky darkened into a sort of twilight even at high noon.
The famous dancing fountains where untold numbers gathered to watch the dancing waters began to change turning from water to lava but somehow kept the ability to dance.
Burning fire pits appeared across the city as even the street lights gave off a sickly purple color as purple flames danced from each pole. Cars and other vehicles began to take on a more horror and gothic appearance as well becoming sharper and pointer. Some even transforming into horse drawn carts/carriages pulled by skeleton or flaming horses. Pets and wild animals became creatures of hell or shadow animals which could move through walls like a ghost, some firearms became horrify looking blades and these changes went down to the smallest homes and even street signs.
The design style wasn’t unified as each of the themed strip hotels retained their some of their normal theme but with a new horror overlay. One hotel became a real castle with a rather large and well-equipped dungeon while another became an pyramid of blackened stones with a large crystal on top instead of blackened glass with a light on top. One which had a famous boat ride through canals of water still had the canals but they where now lava which somehow didn’t burn through the now skull and skeleton covered wooden boats.
Sin city had become an actual sin city, a place for demons, vampires, succubus, incubus, gargoyles and other creatures of horror and hell.
It only needed to be populated and luckily or unluckily the still stunned people watching the world change before them was about to become said creatures.
