That was it. It seemed that whatever character Christine was playing was separated from the Queen and had no further part in the story. You stayed back stage until the production was over. It must have been another hour. Meanwhile the costume lady had you back into the dressing room. She re-laced your bodice but had you stay in the costume.
Your only other job was to attend the final curtain call when assumedly the audience were giving the cast a standing ovation.
You were feeling a bit downcast. The only two times that the director had called out “Cut” was due to your stuff ups. Not that you could really be blamed for a wardrobe malfunction. You felt guilty that you had let Christine down.
You felt better when the director approached you and said ‘You did well Christine. I should not have yelled at you. As they say “The show goes on”. However if the same thing happens again you are welcome to cover up. The audience would understand”
You immediately felt better. Maybe you had not ruined Christine’s acting career after all.
“Ricky” had come back stage. The other actors were ignoring him. The would not have known who he was. Perhaps they all thought he was Christine’s boyfriend? They had never actually met the real you. ‘He he..’ Ricky gave a sick sounding laugh. ‘Your tits came out!’
‘Costume malfunction. It was embarrassing. Sorry’
‘You look hot in that dress. My penis was erect the whole time you were on stage. I never realised what a hottie I am’
‘Shush! Everyone will think you’re my boyfriend and you’re not exactly a stud’
‘So?’
‘Well. You’re not. Christine’s boyfriend is Matthew’
‘Matthew is not exactly a stud either. He’s short and nerdy’
‘Well why do you go out with me then?’
‘Because he’s the smartest person I’ve ever met and right now he’s a hottie’
‘Quiet…. You are embarrassing me. How do you think the play went?’
‘It was good enough. The highlight was your wardrobe malfunction. You should have seen the look on Andrew’s face when he realised what had happened’
‘Who’s Andrew?’
‘The soldier who was carrying you. He got a good look’
‘Was he the one I slapped?’
‘Yep! I think you slapped harder than he was expecting. Te he… He already had a crush on you’
‘On me?’
‘On Christine and at the moment you are Christine’ You looked around for the soldier. You didn’t spot him.
‘What happens now? Are we finished?’
‘You need to get out of your costume. Did I tell you how sexy you look?’
