15 minutes later you were back in Christine’s jeans and T-shirt. The other female actors invited you to join them at a restaurant for dinner. You declined saying ‘I have a prior date’
The green dress actress whose name was Rosemary said ‘That fat guy? I didn’t think he was your type’ with a querulous look on her face.
‘No that’s my cousin. My boyfriend is smart and much better looking’ Maybe that was an exaggeration.
‘Well bring him along. We’d like to meet him’
‘Ah…. Sorry he’s out of town tonight. Maybe another time’
You told the real Christine about the invitation to dinner. He was disappointed that you had not accepted. ‘You should have said yes. I want to be accepted as part of that group’
‘I don’t want to go out looking like this’ You gesticulated at your female body
Ricky looked at you. ‘I suppose I wouldn’t either. You should put something nicer on. We’ll go back to my place and I’ll select you a nice outfit. We have plenty of time’
………
Two hours later you had undergone another makeover. Christine had put you into lilac dress with a floral pattern. She had worn this dress to your parent’s second wedding only a couple of weeks ago. You knew it looked good on her body. You had initially refused to go but she had goaded you by saying ‘Aren’t you man enough to go out as a woman?’
“Ricky” found some clothes that fitted better than what he had been wearing. Evidently her father had at one stage been quite fat. He actually looked semi decent in the suit he now wore. He was insistent that we show up for the dinner. As soon as we had got back to her house he texted Rosemary (from Christine’s phone) to say that ‘Changed my mind. I’ll be at the dinner. I’ll be bringing my cousin’
Once you were ready you had 10 minutes to practice walking in heels before it was time to leave.
