Usually Mandy didn’t have classes on a Saturday but she had swapped days with Barbara so had to teach Barbara’s lesson. It went smoothly enough. She was very happy to find all the housework done by the time she returned. It seemed that while occupying the “Mandy” body, Paul had also acquired her need for neatness.
Once she was back home Mandy was immediately able to transform herself back into a teenage boy. As she explained to Paul ‘We can’t take the risk of anyone finding two Mandy’s. Thankful that Paul had tidied the house Mandy decided to do Paul’s chores and after lunch began to mow the lawns. He enjoyed doing manual things in this young muscular body.
It was while “Paul” was mowing the back yard that Dave dropped around. Paul as “Mandy” opened the door and invited Dave in for a drink, ‘He is just about finished. By the time you have your drink he will be’
'Thanks Mrs Jenkinson' Dave plonked down on the couch where he usually sat when they played X-box.
Paul detected his friend wasn’t in a good mood. Perhaps it was because Paul was now in a woman’s body and her intuition told her something was wrong. ‘Is something the matter David?’ Paul said as she poured her friend a lemonade. She was proud she had remembered to call him David as his Mother would.
‘Everything is the matter’ Dave didn’t elaborate further.
Paul didn’t know what to say ‘Here’s your drink….. Paul will be finished soon’ This was followed by an awkward silence.
‘Am I ugly?’ asked Dave
That came out of the blue. If Paul had been in his own body he might have replied ‘As ugly as can be’ and made a joke of it. But that didn’t seem the appropriate response given her current persona. ‘Of course not! Where did that come from? You’re an attractive young man! ........... What’s happened?’
‘My girlfriend broke up with me’
‘Oh…....... That’s a pity’. Paul thought of the day shopping with Melissa where Dave and Tracy seemed to be getting on really well. She didn’t know what else to say.
There was more awkward silence. Before Dave blurted out. ‘I only wanted to do the same as Paul and Melissa. She said I was pushing too fast’
‘I’m sure there was just a misunderstanding. You’ll sort things out’
‘I’m hopeless with girls. I thought I would get there before Paul but he’s suddenly the measuring stick I don’t live up to. I don’t get it’
‘Well Paul just accepted some help from his mother. You should speak to your own mother’
'I can’t speak to Mum about girls. She’s wants me to remain a virgin until I’m married’
‘Well what about your father?’
'No - Dad just say’s to refrain. He doesn’t understand that the pressures I’m under are different to when he was a teenager. He’s a good basketball coach but I can’t imagine either of my parents just playing X-box with me and relaxing like you did the other day. They are just too uptight. You’re much easier to talk to’
‘Umm… I’m flattered’
Suddenly Dave lifted his gaze from his toes and looked Paul in the eyes, clearly an inspiration had hit him; ‘You helped Paul get Melissa back. According to Tracy he’s suddenly super cool. Could you teach me about girls? The things they like and the things they don’t?’
The mower had stopped. No doubt “Paul” was on his way inside. ‘Umm… I suppose…. You really should talk to your own mother’
‘Really Mrs Jenkinson. That’s fantastic’ It seemed Dave had taken Paul’s response as a yes.
