"Rachel, come on," an older woman with long black hair and dressed in a simple t-shirt and jeans called up the stairs. She sighed a bit as she waited for her oldest daughter to come downstairs. Her name was Charlene Covaks, she and her three daughters had recently moved to Moon Lake after Charlene had divorced her husband following an incident back home. "You're going to be late for your first day at university if you don't get down here."
"I'm coming mom, geez," a voice said from upstairs as a young woman with black hair tied into a braid and wearing jeans and a t-shirt headed downstairs. "I don't hear you getting onto Michelle or Jasmine about it."
"They already left for High School, your class doesn't start until 11, remember?" Charlene reminded her with a light chuckle. "The twins are fine, you're the one who needs to keep things together."
"Yeah, yeah, I know," Rachel said as she gave her mother a kiss on the cheek. "I'll be home late tonight. That girl I met at orientation invited me to play D&D with her and her friends tonight."
"Alright, have fun, just don't be too late, okay?" Charlene said with a smile. "Ask her out, she seemed nice!"
"Mom!" Rachel said, blushing. "She's... I'm... she's just a friend! And after what happened, I don't know if... I'M GOING!"
Charlene laughed as Rachel ran out the door. She loved her daughters, but she had to admit she was a bit worried about Rachel. Her eldest daughter had been the reason they had to move to Moon Lake. Rachel had been unwillingly turned by a rogue Werecat who had wanted to take her as her lover. The werecat had been taken away, but it had been too late and Rachel had been turned. It had driven her husband away, and she had been contacted by people from Moon Lake who had told her that if they moved there it might help Rachel get used to the changes to her body.
Meanwhile her twin daughters Michelle and Jasmine would have to get used to life here. Michelle was an athlete who she was pretty sure about. She was a bit more concerned about Jasmine though, who had... a few boyfriends back home. If she wasn't careful, well... being in a town of Werecreatures had some threats.
She sighed a bit and shook her head. She needed to meet with someone named Samantha Twist who said she would be able to help Rachel a bit, somehow. She sighed a bit, things were just getting weird at this point. So she had to figure out what she was going to do next.
