The old man who ran the shop spotted the old Booth out of the corner of his eye. A magical twinkle sparked within his pupil, and a smirk spread quickly across his face. He remembered his old pal Jim and his start up company Nu-Life. Jim's plan was to revolutionize the world, mixing tech and magic, giving people the chance to change reality and alter their lives.
Of course, the old man had helped. This resulted in the Nu-Life Booth prototype, which was more magic than tech, that now sat in his shop. Jim volunteered to be the first to change. He selected to be a female, and the booth activated perfectly. The old man laughed at Jim, revealing his added quirk of how the booth simply would add a little twist to each change.
The female Jim was upset that her IQ dropped to the floor, at least at first. Eventually, she ended up loving her new form, and kind of forgot why she was even mad. She ended up keeping her new life, and instead of making money she married into wealth, giggling and twirling her blonde hair into success. Last the old man heard she was a wealthy widow living in LA.
"Well, I'm sure Jenna doesn't care anymore, but I guess Jim woulda loved this thing to get more attention than it has." He muttered aloud.
With a snap of his fingers, the booth vanished from the magic shop, and he went back to looking over his stock of magical and cursed objects.
Nearby was the Wellington Mall, a large outdoor shopping center filled with countless stores of varying items and food. What was even more varied were the diverse amount of people who shopped there. People of different ethnicities, ages, backgrounds and gender went here everyday, and a lot of them came often.
Near the mall's center, as soon as nobody was looking, the Nu-Life booth appeared, it's crimson fitting shining in the sun. Of course, someone was bound to take notice of what appeared to be a normal, if a little old, photo booth. The question is, who takes notice of this reality altering, life changing magical device?
