The caterpillars moved slowly before but now, sensing the two girls on the branch, they moved very quickly for such small and awkward creatures. Penny and Tori soon found the threads of their cocoon firmly binding their knees to the branch, then binding their legs together, and eventually them together in a silky green blanket.
It descended down in a shockingly quick way since there were so many tiny workers and soon the cocoon descended past the girls heads and fully enveloped them, never to let them out the same way they went in.
They were heard to talk in muffled voices to each other and the enormous cocoon wiggled a bit for a while but eventually both signs of life calmed and it was silent and still.
“How long will this take anyway?” Krystal asked.
Circe responded saying,”It usually takes…..”
