Jeff was horrified, but the cat side of him, Jill could feel a rising anticipation for what she could only dimly sense was coming. Boots, who was sitting on top of a tall bookcase casually hopped down and edged closer to Jill. It was as if he was grinning at her.
“So, it looks as if we may be having some fun, eh Jill?” Boots mewed.
Jill backed away turned and tried to run, only to be grabbed by Jeff’s dad. Jeff could sense his mind struggling against what was happening but why wasn’t her body putting up a fight. She felt and was dimly aware that he was being placed inside the cat kennel and being lifted off the ground.
“Well, I saw you didn’t struggle when he tried to put you in here, could it be that your feline instincts are too hard for that small piece of your so called human mind to control? Or is it possible that you were never human in the first place?” Boots mused. It dawned on Jill that neither cat had asked him about being human or even acknowledged when he talked about it. Jill drew back pressing himself as far away from the other cat as her body would go.
It wasn’t long before they both arrived at the Jeff’s dad’s work.
