Willis sheilded his eyes from the light.
He heard a loud roaring noise as the land-rover swerved to avoid him.
It hit a tree, but suffered minor damage.
Willis had not flinched. For a moment it seemed odd to him that he hadn't reacted. Was he still the same person? Yes, he decided, he was but now he was relying on different instincts.
The door of the land-rover opened and Willis sensed someone step out.
“Jesus, what the-!”
The person, whoever it was, had just realised what Willis was. Shit, Willis thought.
He raised his head, giving the person a sheepish look, not wishing to alarm them.
“Oh, it’s you,” Willis said, “I thought it might be”
