“So, what store did you have in mind?” Rick queried.
"Oh, just one of my FAV stores of all time!" She laughed, turning Rick around by the shoulders to face the large store at the end of the mall. Greeting their gaze was a brownish, older facade sticking out like a sore thumb compared with the rest of the newer aesthetic around it. He read the green letters and groaned.
"Barnes and Nobles?" He sighed. "Really?"
Emily's brow furrowed as she glared at her boyfriend. She sashayed her hips, brushed her brunette locks to the side and rolled her eyes. "Oh I'm sorry, I thought you said this was for me... but no, it's okay, make fun of my interests."
Rick winced, realizing he probably sounded too dismissive. Whenever she wanted to buy some new murder mystery or romance book he always dodged to avoid going there. He hated reading... but for Emily, why not. Plus, it's not like they'd get stuck there while Emily browsed and read. They were going for transformative fun!
"Ha, just kidding babe! Just teasing." He quickly replied to Emily's glare.
She sighed and handed Rick the camera.
"Alright then, lead the way babe." She smirked, patting Rick's ass to send him forward, causing the ginger to blush profusely.
They entered the entrance and walked casually to the nearest rack. Rick was getting worried about this whole transforming himself thing, but kept reassuring himself that they could always turn back.
"Ooooh I'm so excited!" Emily barely contained her squeal. "Maybe we'll be book nerds together! Finally you can see how fun it is."
"God I hope not." Rick thought before replying out loud with a fake "Ha, maybe!"
Rick held the camera aloft. Emily leaned into frame, placing her hand on Rick's shoulder and lifting one leg up. Rick managed a meek smile, though was secretly worried about who or whatever he was about to change into.
Little did either know that what didn't matter this time around was the store, but rather what was directly behind them. Above Rick's head in the shot was a sign which pointed out which section they were in. The camera would twist this knowledge, and blend Rick and Emily's lives to better fit with this trend...
