It was after 4pm by the time they were back in room 314. Liz produced the medallion in its plastic bag and asked ‘Who wants to go first?’
‘I have to admit I’m pretty impatient to be male again’ said the short redheaded woman who was really Roger
‘That’s fine by me. As they say “Ladies first”. Just pick up that sock and touch it to the medallion. Be very careful to not touch the medallion to any other clothing'
‘This sock?’
‘Yes'
‘Like this?’ Roger touched the sock to the medallion. He felt a slight shock. ‘I felt a shock’
‘Okay now we watch’ It will take a couple of minutes before you notice much change. Usually it’s the hair you notice first’
‘Are you not going to change yourself Liz’
‘Sure will. I just need to retrieve my special panties from my suitcase’
‘Special panties?’
‘They change me into a freshly showered version of myself with my hair styled. No offence but your hair styling isn’t up to scratch’ Liz began to sift through the contents of the suitcase Roger had checked out earlier.
Roger and Maureen moved to the bathroom so Roger could watch his changes in the mirror.
About a minute later Maureen said ‘I think I see something your hair is a fraction shorter. It had been down to your breasts. Now it has receded to the neckline of your T-shirt’
Roger thought so as well but perhaps it was just wishful thinking. He watched the gap between his still red hair and the top of the T-shirt widen. Over a minute it stretched to about an inch. He was changing but oh so slowly. His hair was still Liz’s deep red.
But then the changes seemed to stop. Roger’s red hair stopped receding. The gap actually seemed to narrow. Roger thought that he had perhaps angled his head somehow so that the hair just appeared to be longer. He stood up straight. The gap was still only half an inch.
Maureen declared first ‘Something is wrong. You are reverting to Liz’ Roger had guessed something was wrong, his hair was now longer than the neck of his shirt.
Maureen called out in a louder voice ‘Liz if you haven’t already used the medallion don’t’
