"Thanks for walking me home," Michelle said as she and Hank walk down the street towards her house. She smiled a bit as she looked at the Werehorse. "Today was a lot of fun."
"Yeah, I'm glad you enjoyed it," Hank said, a little sheepishly. "And its the least I could do after you beat me so soundly in that last race."
"You don't have to hold back you know, I can run with the best of them," Michelle laughed as they turned down the street leading to her new house. "Besides, its more fun that way."
"Maybe next time, if you don't mind there being a next time that is," Hank said. "If, you don't mind..."
"I would love to, but we can't do it every day or my sisters might start teasing me about having a boyfriend," Michelle said and gave him a wink. "But seriously, I would love to do this again. Whenever is good for you?"
"Yeah, of course, sounds good," Hank said with a nod, trying not to look too embarrassed. "I have a Herd meeting tomorrow after school, but you can always go to the track without me if you want to run more."
"I'll think about it, but it won't be as fun," Michelle said with a chuckle as they stopped in front of her house. "I'll see you tomorrow at school at least?"
"Yeah, I'll see you then," Hank said as he started to turn. Michelle leaned up and gave him a kiss on the cheek before walking down the front walk to her house. Hank smiled a bit and headed off too.
Michelle watched him go for a moment before unlocking the front door. She had to admit he was cute, and a bit intriguing. Werehorses sounded interesting, she made a note to learn more about him and his herd later. But for now she just had to worry about what her family would do when she came inside. She shook her head and headed in, heading for the kitchen where Rachel and Charlene were seated with her mom on the phone.
"Okay, we'll see you then," Charlene said as she hung up. "Alright, we have an appointment with Doctor Chen on Friday afternoon, does that sound good Rachel?"
"Yeah, it does..." Rachel said, looking a bit uncomfortable for a moment, but she smiled. "Hopefully she'll be able to help."
"Yeah, hopefully," Charlene said as she looked at Michelle. "How about you? Did anything interesting happen at school today, Michelle?"
"Like maybe a certain werehorse stud?" Jasmine asked as she poked her head in, causing Michelle to turn beet red.
"Werehorse stud?" Charlene asked with a raised eyebrow as she looked at Michelle. "Did you get into something that we need to talk about, Michelle? I don't think we're ready to have two..."
"What? No!" Michelle protested quickly. "He just told me where there was a track where I could do some running, that's all! We talked a bit about werehorses and were society, that's all. Mom, you should trust me more than that! Who do you think I am, Jasmine?"
Rachel laughed at that, Jasmine now was the one looking embarrassed. she slowly slunk back out of view, trying not to show her embarrassment.
"Jasmine, Michelle, go get your homework done," Charlene said with a wave of her hand and the twins started upstairs. "You don't think they..."
"No of course not, I'd smell it on them," Rachel said, brushing her hair back. She blinked a bit when she remembered the dream she had, Michelle had appeared as a horse in that, but that had to be a coincidence, right? "I smell some Werehorse on Michelle, but she doesn't smell like one, if that makes any sense."
"Alright, good," Charlene said. "I'll get started on dinner."
"Alright, I've got a few things I need to do anyway" Rachel said as she got up and headed upstairs.
