Mark clutched the coin in his had as he entered his apartment. he had lost his job a month ago, the bills were piling up and the rent was due and he had spent his last $20 on this coin. The woman who sold it to him was so convincing, she told him it was a wishing coin and he was so desperate to believe he bought it. Now he had to explain to his wife why he didn't have a groceries with him and he spend the last of their money on this coin she was going to be mad.
Jesse noticed right away he was empty handed, 'where's the food?' she snapped at him. 'funny thing,' he said sheepishly. 'I was on my way to the market when a woman stopped me and sold me this coin' he held it up to show he. She snapped it from his fingers, 'you mean to tell me you spent all of our money on THIS!?' she said raising her voice.
'but you don't understand,' he tried to explain 'its a wishing coin!'
She shook her head, 'you really are stupid, aren't you. you fell for the stupidest scam.' she in a calm tone.
'No, really try it!' he told her
'wishes do no come true! if they didn't we wouldn't be living like this, you'd have all your hair and i could eat all i want and never gain a pound.' she yelled
'Just try it!' he yelled back
'FINE! I wish ___________________.' and she threw the coin back at him.
Mark was just able to catch it.
'SEE! Nothing! wished don't come true!' she said looked him in the eye, but he said nothing he just stared blankly.
(What was the Wish?)
