Moonbeams mom

added by O 5 months ago AR BM O

July bit her lip, anxiously gazing at the door as it slowly began to open. Standing the the doorway, both July and Moonbeam gasped as a woman in her mid thirties slowly entered.

The woman, who July guessed was her grandmother, wore a knee length turquoise dress with shoulder length blonde hair. Gazing at the woman July couldn't help but think of the stereotypical 50s housewife. "Where am I," she asked. "Ugh hi mom," Moonbeam groaned.

"Elizabeth," the woman asked, her face in complete shock as she looked down at the 10 year old girl. "Elizabeth what's going on?"

"Its Moonbeam," she exclaimed, the 10 year old hippie stomping her foot. Moonbeams mother simply shook her head disapprovingly as she began to approach her young daughter. "Lizzie enough of that nonsense," she said sternly. "What is going on? Where are we? Why are you a little girl?"

"I'm not telling you anything Sarah," Moonbeam huffed, the young hippie now folding her arms across her chest. Sarah frowned, reaching over to grab Moonbeams arm. "Young lady what have I told you about useing my name? I am your mother and you will treat me with respect. What would your father say if he heard you?"

"At least daddy would have listened to me," Moonbeam exclaimed. "All you ever wanted was for me to be quiet and listen. I could never have an opinion on anything. It was always do as your told Lizzie, stop causing problems at school Lizzie, listen to your teachers Lizzie. You never let me do anything mom!"

"Because you were a child," Sarah exclaimed. "And now look at you. You're more of a child than ever! The last time I saw you, you were 20. Now, now you what 8? 9?"

"I'm 10," Moonbeam huffed. Sarah simply huffed in annoyance, Liz had always been a rebellious child. Instead of going to college, settling down, and marrying, she embraced the counter culture lifestyle. Sarah, in a way, blamed herself. She felt she had encouraged it to some degree, talking so proudly about her own mother Millie. Millie had been a trend setter. In her youth the woman had marched for voting rights, something Sarah herself had been immensely proud of. What Liz did made know sense. Women had already progressed so far and her own daughter seemed to spit in the face of those sccomplisgmensts. Protesting the government, casual sex, not supporting the troops. Sarah disagreed with Lizzies politics and hated talking about it, especially since it seemed that was all her daughter wished to talk about. Maybe, maybe though this was a second chance? An opportunity for Sarah to raise her daughter right. "Cmon Liz we're leaving."

July, Amanda, and Candy now watched as Sarah now began to drag Moonbeam away. Moonbeam protested, the guppies child whining as Sarah paused. "How do we get out of here," she asked.

July now watched as her grandmother and mother began to argue. It puzzled her honestly. Sarah wanting to do what was best for her daughter as Moonbeam whined the the child she appeared to be. Listening to the pair, it struck her as odd that in a way Sarah was very much like herself. "Um excuse me," Juky said meekly.

Sarah paused, so befuddled at seeing her own daughter reduced to childhood that she had failed to notice three other girls around Liz's age. Studying the three carefully, she found it odd that they looked vaguely familiar. "I'm sorry little girl do we know eachother?"

July took a breath, gazing up at a woman who was family yet had never met. How was she going to explain any of this. "My...my name is July," she stammered.

"July," Sarah replied, raising an eyebrow. "Who on the world would name you July?"
July now gestured towards her own mother, Sarah still perplexed as she gazed at her own child. "Elizabeth what is this girl talking about?"

"Its Moonbeam," she huffed. "And July is my daughter!"

"Daughter," Sarah exclaimed. "That's preposterous Elizabeth! Now enough of your games, we are going home now!"

"Grandma it's not a game," July pleaded. "Look, I know it sounds crazy. Believe me I barely understand it myself but, this room it's magic or something. Somehow it's brought all of us together. We're...we're all family."

Sarah was still unconvinced, looking between July and Moonbeam before looking at the two girls she had yet to be introduced too. "Lizzie explain yourself."

"July's not lying," Moonbeam smirked. "I wanted six general together."

"But you didn't have a child," Sarah stated. "And you most certain weren't pregnant the last time I saw you."

"Thats because that happened in the future mom," Moonbeam stated. "But now the cosmos in its infinite wisdom has brought us all together. Just look at yourself mom. You're about to become a child of the universe."

Sarah scoffed, thinking her daughter had finally gone off the deep end. Noticing a mirror, the mother now approached, gasping in shock at her appearance. Sarah looked as if she was perhaps 25 now. The young mothers face young, her hair shimmering with vitality. Glancing at herself she could see her dress now seemed a bit baggy around her hips as her modest breasts seemed much firmer than before. "I'm young!"

"And getting younger," Moonbeam grinned. "In a few more minutes you'll be another child of the cosmos and then we get to see Grandma Millie again."

"Grandma Millie," Sarah exclaimed. "My mother is coming here too?!" Moonbeam simply nodded, a smug smirk on her face as Sarah turned towards her reflection and gawked. As July now watched her own grandmother now agr in reverse, she wondered what else was in store for her family.
